I would say that old skem is more an extension of ormskirk than upholland to be honest.
Then you’d be wrong. Historically, the links between Skem and Ormskirk are pretty well non-existent, hence the dislike by Skemmers of the Ormskirk-based council. Similarly, Up Holland and Skem were two separate identities until the powers that be decided that Skelmersdale New Town sounded like a good idea for Liverpool’s overspill and Up Holland ended up as an overspill for Skem, much to the disgust of the residents there.[/quote]

I meant more geographicaly than historically TBH.The Globe usually. If you see happen to see a devilishly good looking bloke at the bar, then that’s probably not me, or any of my mates.I go in the Globe quite often myself and deffo every sunday afternoon.
