Because everyone on here is w@nking over Blackburn.
It may be seen as an excuse but its a fact. Dont take your chances at this level (we dont) and you get punished. Give sides easy chances at this level (we do) and you get punished.
In league 1 you can get away with it. Not here. THAT is his point and players missing penalties and simple chances and making schoolboy defensive mistakes is not the fault of the bloke on the touchline.
Or to use your ferrari reference (which actually contradicts the shit you have come out with the last few weeks and is exactly what everyone has been saying wiyh regards to our injuries) if the driver opts to try and drive round with the handbrake on is it the mechanics fault when it breaks?

Agree with MOST of that, as it happens.
I looked at our squad weeks ago and could see it hasnt got much depth to it. A couple of injuries and suspensions, and knew we would be stretched. But whos job is it to sort that out? The manager.
New owners…chairman…joe royle…jackson… what are they playing at? Action was needed to be taken about 4 weeks ago, and it wasnt.
Hes not even on borrowed time now. Hes flatlined. Same old excuses, same old bullshit. If he was a dog, he would’ve been put down. Shame on the powers that be for dragging it out. Genuinely thankful he did a good season last season, but shouldve been pushed out before now with a “thanks for what you have done, best wishes for your next job” mentality. Not dragging it out like this.
Attendance and support wise, its dropped off just the same as Boltons has. Thats how shit its got.

And that is why we have to look at who we are and where we are. With the transfer budget we had in August it was going to be very difficult to build a SQUAD good enough for this division. We probably have a decent 11 maybe 1 or 2 changes but to lose the players we have our squad will always be stretched.
Even Jewell didn’t have a quality SQUAD when we were promoted and he had plenty of money. I mean if Ellington and Roberts got injured who were the replacements?
26 January 2019 at 10:45 pm #175565Something needs to be done about our away form though but personally I put it down to a complete lack of confidence. We just crumble when it gets tough.
26 January 2019 at 10:49 pm #175566Nonsense egg. The new owners need to sack cook, get pep in and splash the cash. Of we dont lineup like this against qpr then im done
De Gea
Alves
Varane
Ramos
Marcelo
Modric
Pogba
Mbappe
Messi
McManaman
RonaldoSubs
Allison
De Bruyne
Salah
Silva
Thiago Silva
Hazard
Gelhardt26 January 2019 at 10:51 pm #175567Love the McManaman bit. I think most have forgotten he is still on our books but very funny.

David Graham and Brett Ormerod played small parts. Lee McCulloch chipped in with goals, as did Mahon, Bullard and Teale. Flynn got a couple too.
Baines looked tired, so he put McMillan in at Cardiff. Shock horror! We had TWO left backs!
Ever since we failed to bounce back up in that first season after releagation from the Premier League, this club has just been treading water and slowly but surely, stagnating. We rode the crest of the cup win and the Europa league, but since we failed to bounce back up straight away, and from the moment James McArthur went, we have seen a continuous decline in the quality of player we have had.
How many of this current squad would’ve got near that squad that Jewell got us promoted with? I will tell you. None. That’s the truth.
26 January 2019 at 11:37 pm #175571Anybody who has it to hand, how is Cooks record reading now, as compared to Coyle, Mackay,Caldwell, Rosler and Joyce?
Just wondering.
26 January 2019 at 11:38 pm #175572Said over again but the starting eleven today would have struggled to get promoted last season and we are playing in a division higher.
26 January 2019 at 11:55 pm #175573David Graham scored 1 goal in 30 games. He would hardly have fired us to promotion neither would Ormerod.
Our 2nd string was along the lines of:
Walsh
Wright
Thome
Mitchell
McMillan
Johanssen
Flynn
Dinning
Graham
N. Roberts
OrmerodYes some of those did ok here and there but that side or 5 ot 6 of them for most of the season wouldn’t have ben promoted.

No, you asked who would come in if Ellington or Roberts had got injured. Luckily, they both stayed fit. Ellington was jaded near the end of the season, so Jewell put Ormerod in at Leicester and he scored those two goals.
We had options in most areas that season. That seasons team would smash our present side 5 nil, I’m sure.
27 January 2019 at 12:40 am #175577And you said a bloke who scored 1 goal. As you say luckily they stayed fit because we were fucked if they didn’t.
As for stagnating, if we hadn’t we’d be where Bolton are now (and of course I mean financially) but probably worse off.
Then again they seem to be your new love child. Is that cos Everton are shite?

And we have options this season too if 1 or 2 are missing.
I’m not comparing the two sides I’m pointing out that away from the 11 or 12 regulars our squad wasn’t that great. Which is why we needed Kav to come in for Frandsen because when he got injured we lost our way at times.
27 January 2019 at 1:02 am #175579You cannot compare PJ’s side to Cookies. The game has changed and today players are injured more because they are expected to do a lot more. PJ had 2 strikers supported by wide men so the workload wasn’t as strenuous. Todays forward is expected to be a target man cum winger cum midfielder. The full backs are expected to be racehorses so its no wonder most clubs have massive injury lists. It isn’t just us. Todays tactics and formations put a hell of a strain on players and that’s why the really big boys have so much strength in depth we haven’t.

It was far better than this shite. We haven’t got an actual left back! Kav didnt come in for Frandsen, there was a gap inbetween. Cardiff needed money, so we snooped.
