Played once since the 24th August, excellent purchase and now out for the season.
He came to the club with a poor injury record and nothings has changed. That’s experience for ya Cookie.
Any news on Pilkington ??22 January 2020 at 5:18 pm #184237Defence always looked better with him in the side. One of those risk signings we have to make. If he was fully fit he’d be at a club bigger than ours.
22 January 2020 at 7:06 pm #184240I wouldn’t let Cook near any cash. The lad from Birmingham been in shop window and now 30 mill could be heading their way.Us ?? Geldhardt no opportunities to raise his profile so will probably move on in summer fire sale for 5 mill. Cooks signings have been shit to say the least so Fox out no surprise, Mulgrew had enough of being here,Lowe a total waste of cash,Cole wtf..etc….
22 January 2020 at 8:01 pm #184241Crankshaw who I thought was outstanding against Liverpool u23’s sent to Dundee on loan.
Let’s not forget, William’s and Dowell are not much older than him.
Cook must have his eye on a 30+ year old coming back from a series on injuries and a scouser22 January 2020 at 8:14 pm #184242If he was fully fit he’d be at a club bigger than ours. He’s probably here because no other club use medical staff that use white sticks and labradors

22 January 2020 at 9:13 pm #184245So if Moore leaving is resurrected then where does it leave us forward wise ?.Cloth head had Garner sitting out all Christmas so he’s in Cook’s strikers graveyard. Wells must be tickled pink to think he would even consider boarding the titanic. Rhodes is like tipping good money down the dunny to then own nothing at the end. As I’ve stated relegation is not done and dusted yet but I would make Cook utilise what he has and close the transfer purse to him. Seems we are stuck with him so don’t let him near kitty.
22 January 2020 at 10:01 pm #184247Most clubs nowadays use the 1 up front. If the service is poor then you’ll struggle. We could get Ronaldo and he’d be lucky to knock Dunkley off the top of the charts.
The way we set up on a match day then use subs says it all. At times we’ve 6 along the back and we still concede 2 a game. It’s not about 1 player up front it’s about 11 players across the board.

The Dingles play with two up top and both scored at Old Trafford tonight We need to follow suit and at least go down shouting and for once in a very long time entertainilng. Oh and a proper wide player in the mold of Wildschutt.

On official site now. At least they got him to sign an extended contract before he went on loan.

True, it just means we’ll get something when we flog him in the summer.Best bet, shut the Academy down and use the money to pay better wages in the first team.
The Academy has no connection to Latics bar in name, we prefer to use the likes of Everton’s U23 squad and pay for the player as well.
