To be fair our anger should be directed at Darren Royle not Cook. There is no doubting that Cook has tried his best and will be hurting more than us, however his direct boss has taken no action when it was obvious Cook had took us as far as he could.
Cook’s post match interview following the Swansea match was the most uncomfortable 3 minute viewing I’ve ever witnessed. Ashen faced, twice wiping his eyes, shoulders slumped, I could feel his pain and Royle must have done to.
The man looks ill and if I was his boss I would have put him out his misery several months ago. What’s even sadder is our fans are also looking like that come final whistle of each game. The club is turning sour, if things continue it will take more than a defib to revive it. News of Ollie Crankshaw going out on loan today has deflated us even more, he should be getting a toe dip into the first team squad to see how he fairs.
We need to make Royle and Jackson uncomfortable, they seem totally unaware of our current predicament or are content to let it drag on.From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!23 January 2020 at 11:50 pm #184267It might not even be Royle’s decision
24 January 2020 at 12:00 am #184268He’s the chief exec so if he can’t make decisions, if I was him I’d get out the club as quick as I could.
We have no chance of having a go at the owners they are just owners in name, weve more chance of seeing a ghost.
The book stops with Royle as it did with Whelan, Sharpe and dare I say it Bill Kenyon. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!24 January 2020 at 12:27 am #184270You’d presume so as chairman yes
24 January 2020 at 1:37 am #184274You’d presume so as chairman yesThere is no excuse for this alarming decline. In Reid and Royle we have experience to burn yet the board as a unit are not only allowing it they appear to be sanctioning it as well. Cook is useless and killing the club yet the lunatic at the top is backing him to the hilt. This club has never been so badly run and that includes under burglar Bill’s reign. I was worried to hell in the dark days of the nineties and we could have easily gone under but that was coz we were genuinely skint and no chance of getting out of it. This time we are being slowly butchered by cretins who don’t give a flying fcuk. We are deep in the shit.
24 January 2020 at 2:16 am #184275Have i stumbled onto the Bolton messageboards?
24 January 2020 at 3:49 am #184278Don’t be so cock sure, it doesn’t take long once the plugs pulled for a club to go under.
The first bad sign for me was Latics going under the one name ownership so they don’t have to answer to the stock exchange, basically private ownership one guy legally calling the shots.Let’s not forget the stadium owners run a business that has to show to be self sufficient.
The new owner/s won’t let us to continue hemorrhaging money. The way were going and how were heading financially we could potentially next season be facing one of our worse on paper for donkeys years. The recruitment of late beggars belief. Both of our 2 most expensive players are now worth a fraction of what we paid for them.
I can’t think of anything worse as a fan and for the owners going back down into League One. The owners must have looked at our FA Cup win and those years in the Prem and thought “Bargain !! With the ground thrown in.
Little did they know that there around 25 clubs hanging on for dear life24 January 2020 at 4:39 pm #184286We did pretty well when we were under the stewardship of one guy previously who had nobody to answer to.
24 January 2020 at 6:24 pm #184287We did pretty well when we were under the stewardship of one guy previously who had nobody to answer to.Now he wasn’t afraid of making decisions. My lad worked for him years ago and somebody got bollocked for the number of pens on reception and the number of bog rolls the office workers were going through. How ironic that was, being that he started off his rise to fame selling um.
Cook is proving to be “unsackable” and not many employees can say that these days. The “results industry” theory has been turned on its yed! From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!24 January 2020 at 6:28 pm #184288Gave me a days paid leave to go to the re-arranged Gillingham game after I used my last holiday to go the one that was called off
