There is a massive rumour that IF this Honduran signs, it will have a caviaat of a freiendly being played in Washington – USA, July 2010.
24 August 2009 at 3:36 am #6310To add to this, when any confirmations come out CL will let you know.
We heard the rumour quite a while ago but we will generally only print it if we can substantiate it.
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

Yes, I didn’t go to Villa. But I’m afraid that Washington DC has a tad more appeal, with the White House, Constitution Hill, and the Pontomac river, that the turdhole that is, the Aston district of Birmingham.
I’ve been to America twice before, travelled about quite a bit, but one place I didn’t get to was Washington. Believe me, if I had my way, I’d be living in America, as it’s amazing, compared to here.
I checked the flights on Expedia today, and it was priced in dollars when I looked, and was like $1,700 for a return flight. What’s that in £’s? Something like 8 or 900 quid? Or could include it as part of a longer holiday. Internal flight a piece of p i s s from places such as NYC and Vegas. And probably be cheaper. Stay in places like Day’s Inn’s, which are great value, and your laughin.
25 August 2009 at 2:26 am #6413In the USA myself at the moment. New England, different world to the UK I can tell you.
Missed first three games and next two, reading the site doesn’t seem as though I have missed a great deal. Managed to see the Villa game in NY. Impressed but seems to have gone pear shaped since then.
Surprised so many are onto Martinez already after most were ‘ over the moon’ when he came.25 August 2009 at 2:34 am #6416Good excuse for a trip stateside then.

Surprised so many are onto Martinez already after most were ‘ over the moon’ when he came. It’s brilliant the U.S. isn’t it John? Everything just seems more….oh, I don’t know…’grander’, for want of a better expression. Even the shops. You go in a grocery store in America, and the range of soft drinks alone, are numerically staggering. I got into Mountain Dew and Hawaiian Fruit Punch. And then there are the Hershey chocolate bars….mmmmm. Nice.
Don’t even get me started on Burgers, Steaks, etc. Fantastic. Tried all the places, but was especially impressed with the ‘Wendy’s’ chain.
The land of opportunity, indeed. You get twice as much for your money.

God bless America an all that patriotic whale !I had a McDonalds in Oklahoma City, and the Strawberry Milkshake was actually made from REAL strawberries, and had pieces in. Not like the powdered crap they knock out here.
