Unfortunately this is wigan and we have lazy fans who cant make it past the local boozer with there dodgy foreign football channels!
We do seem to lack some pre match hype around our town don’t we! Maybe a little more razmataz on the radio and the local papers.
I have not heard anything about the bolton game coming up next week. It should be all over the radio on wish, and in paper.
Anyway i’ll be there, 10k / 15k / 20k. doesn’t matter to me!!
3 games for £30 worked quite well.Better making a £10 on each game than having nobody there!
I know a number of people who went when it was a £1, they are just skint at the moment!
like landgate said its on in pubs .If you know the pubs in question get them reported to the authorities.

It’s hard and takes along time, but I think Whelan’s doing it the right way.
The most sustainable and effective method for the long term is to attract lots of local youngsters to support the Latics. Then hopefully it will run in the family, and with us being in the Prem for the first time there’s no better time to do it that this generation. Obviously it will take many years, but considering we have the highest percentage of under 16 season ticket holders in the Prem. It looks like Dave is playing this one correctly.
Secondly, we will improve crowds if we win, if we start to show signs of a top 8 finish. But this is only short term, and attracts more fans to the stadium rather than getting new supporters (if you get what I mean?) Basically glory hunters, look at 05/06, we were top 8 for most of the season. Top 2 for some of it. And crowds were huge, thanks to all the JCL’s. But after a poor second season that all changed. I hate “fans” like this that only turn up when the team are winning. What about keeping the faith and staying strong through thick and thin?

7 seats next to us, who are all season ticket holders, were empty last night.
I think the club is resorting to the other lots ways with attendances……….. :roll:

We just need a couple of wins and then we’ll be able to relax. We are definitely too good to go down.

And oh, hold on a minute, both had managers trying to play “The right way”. Right way to what? Relegation?
No mate, we most certainly are NOT too good to go down. You are only as good as your results.
