24 February 2017 at 2:19 am #155806Latics will have asked rugby to move to Sunday. Rugby haven’t trained all week so have said scrap that we’ll play it in april.
Win win.
So what you mean Eggy is….Worriers have not trained all week and been on the piss after beating the Aussies on Sunday and they aren’t ready to play Widnes tomorrow?
I bet the meeting lasted about 5 minutes, Pollard would have jumped at the chance not to play!
Fuck the EFL

24 February 2017 at 2:31 am #155808When big Dave goes to that Wembley in the sky, Sharpie will have them fat chubby egg chasing cuckoos out !
He t’owd me so in’t Rigbye Arms, after several pints of specky hen.I reckon he’ll sell up or even give the club away. He’s a young lad and wont want to see his inheritance being spent on subsidising the Latics to the tune of £5 million+ a year. Grandad’s money wont last long if he did.

No it wouldn’t, ERM only about 70 years!!!!
24 February 2017 at 10:47 am #155810You’re right I guess. Tory Dave will have no doubt cut a deal with the chancellor not to have 40% Inheritance Tax levied on his reputed £190 million worth. My initial statement was based on young Sharpy being left with a percentage of what was left after tax and being split with DW’s children and grandchildren.

The club is going nowhere.Like his granddad, Sharpe loves the fame and prestige that being a football club chairman gives him.
He has too much money invested in the club and buyers wouldn’t exactly be queueing up.
24 February 2017 at 1:27 pm #155815Rugby League chiefs at the Leeds HQ have announced that a record number of subscribers tuned in to watch the clash with Cronulla on Sky Sports. Close on 400,000 viewers watched Wigan beat the Australian Grand Final winners in the annual challenge game.
RL bosses see this as a vindication for the game, the future of which is under doubt as many of the top Aussies clubs have said they will not take part in future due to it clashing with their pre season preparations,
Sky’s antipodean broadcasting partner Channel Nine have not yet released viewing figures and are also considering their future options for this fixture, as the clash is not nearly as popular down under. A spokesman for GBRL said ” these figures show how popular the game is in the UK and hopefully will still be part of the RL calendar for years to come, we will look for talks with our Australian partners to see how we move forward.”
In other news Sky Sports are delighted with their latest venture, Monday evening saw the first ever live game from the Vitality Super league Ladies Netball competition, new franchises Wasps and Sirens played to a sold out Glasgow’s Emirates Arena and a live audience of over HALF a MILLION sky viewers, a great game saw a cracking battle as the Wasps ran out 57-43
