1 November 2012 at 6:33 pm #96122I’m not belating about it at all Griff, just curious as to peoples’ views on the subject.
I didn’t mean you personally were bleating. We already have our regular crew of bleaters who turn out at the end of a every cup run (?)
3 November 2012 at 1:14 am #96161Is a bleater better or worse than a whinger? And where do moaners come into it?
I think we need a scale, it’s awful being labelled one thing when you’re clearly another, isn’t it, you good looking, long haired, forumaphobe.3 November 2012 at 4:57 am #96164Anonymous
The annoying thing about this (well to me anyway) is that even if we put out our best 11 for the game at Spurs, we’ll probably still lose. Therefore 0 points and even the possibility of a injury to one of our players. Why not rest our ‘star’ players for this and put out a strong team against Bradford to try and get a step closer to winning some silverware. Looking at the 2 fixtures, we’d probably more to gain from beating Bradford than a distant chance of getting anything at Spurs. I think Martinez owes some chance of glory to the supporters than just finishing outside the bottom 3 again.
Of course, if we do get anything from Spurs, I’ll have to eat my words.3 November 2012 at 1:18 pm #96172Anonymous

Of course, if we do get anything from Spurs, I’ll have to eat my words.I like the fact that like me, you seem tired of just being happy to survive in this league. I’m bored sick of settling for it every year, but I think a lot of our fans have got in the rut of being more than happy to settle for it.
Martinez is Spanish, and in his make-up, as in the Spanish game, domestic cups are not considered important.
I’m not going to come on here and start pulling him apart. If he did as you suggest and had played a strong team against Bradford and a weak team at Spurs, I think that would be the best way to get us relegated! All I say to people who don’t like his cup selection policy is to vote with your arse and don’t put your bum on a seat for the next home cup tie. Unless it’s a semi or a final, I intend to give cup games a miss from now on.
