13 January 2019 at 5:16 am #175146REFERENDUM
Due to a point brought up by a poster regarding cut off times for predicting, I have decided to guage opinion of the players in the competition as to whether we should strictly have a midnight cut off, or keep as we have all season and let posters predict up to kick off time.
The voting will run from 08.00am on Sunday 13th January until 11.00pm on Tuesday 15th January.
IF you want a midnight before the match cut off, simply post Midnight.
IF you want a Kick off cut off before the match, simply post Kick off.One post is allowed for each person who has entered the competition at least once.
Please do not add anything to your voting post other than the word Midnight or Kick off. Any other comments on your voting post will result in your vote being disqualified.Comments and questions can obviously be made on posts other than your official voting post.
I will keep a running total and we will run with whichever gets the most votes.
13 January 2019 at 12:45 pm #175151What’s the cut-off time?
It should be midnight tonight, but I usually allow up to kick off for a few stragglers.[/quote]

14 January 2019 at 7:26 pm #175203Before I vote in this referendum I need to know if it is:
1. Binding?
2. what proportion of the population has to vote for it to be valid?
3. Whether we all know what we are voting for?
4. What is an acceptable margin to declare an outright victory, and whether that is proportional to the turnout?
5. That if this all goes horribly to worms that the person who delared the need for the referendum fesses up and makes an appearance, even if it is in the stocks.Any likeness to individuals or other events is merely coincidental.
I’m not casting a vote until I know what I’m voting for.
1 hour before kick off.
14 January 2019 at 8:28 pm #175204Can you make sure when voting this time you are well informed on all the issues and the consequences

As far as I know it is purely an advisory vote, and there is no obligation for the result to be carried out.
14 January 2019 at 9:44 pm #175207… and what do we mean by “midnight”?

15 January 2019 at 12:31 am #175210Before I vote in this referendum I need to know if it is:
1. Binding? YES
2. what proportion of the population has to vote for it to be valid? 30 posters have the chance to vote, but if only one person was to vote, that would be enough.
3. Whether we all know what we are voting for? Its not rocket science.
4. What is an acceptable margin to declare an outright victory, and whether that is proportional to the turnout? 1-0 would be enough
5. That if this all goes horribly to worms that the person who delared the need for the referendum fesses up and makes an appearance, even if it is in the stocks. He already has.Any likeness to individuals or other events is merely coincidental.
I’m not casting a vote until I know what I’m voting for. It looks like you have GG.
1 hour before kick off. Unfortunately the questions above mean you have now been disqualified from voting.
