Villa after Powell.
Why don’t they foooooook off and leave us to get on with our season. I hate football in this generation of greed and Johnny big bollocks,
31 December 2017 at 3:07 am #164657Personally, Im not arsed if he goes.
Questionable fitness, questionable attitude. Stormed straight up tunnel when subbed last night.
If they offer 5-7 mil i’d snatch their hand off.
A few latics fans feel the same i think.
31 December 2017 at 3:45 am #164658There is no doubt that Nick Powell oozes talent, the only problem is his attitude and fitness. On Friday he seemed to be strolling around, then had that shot that nearly beat their keeper and a header late on that went straight to the keeper, either side would have been a goal. We should try to hang on to the lad but if we can get 4 or 5 million, take it and look elsewhere.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!31 December 2017 at 5:13 am #164659Stormed straight up tunnel when subbed last night. He did not storm straight up the tunnel at all. When he left the pitch he applauded the crowd, acknowledged both Cook the player replacing him and walked up the tunnel. At the end of the game he came back onto the field to exchange pleasantries with the Charlton players with the rest of the team. Hardly the actions of someone with an attitude.

Apart from being a bit gobby with the referee (justifiably in most cases) I think his attitude has been pretty damn good this season. He is one of those players that can change a game with a flash of brilliance and they are few and far between at this level.
I heard a rumour that Shrewsbury were after a loan for Janic Wildshutt, if he is available perhaps Cook should be looking into it.31 December 2017 at 12:52 pm #164662Stormed straight up tunnel when subbed last night.

Hes lazy and a passenger in a lot of games. Id get shut….for the right price.

He can be frustrating and treads a fine line with officials and opposition but is the only player we have capable of producing something out of the ordinary. His fitness is questionable so it remains to be seen if another club is willing to take the risk and pay money for him. I’d be disappointed if he left.
31 December 2017 at 3:00 pm #164669I wouldn’t say he is a passenger at all
31 December 2017 at 4:10 pm #164672He is the most talented and gifted player we have. Maybe a bit cocky. Or is that just confidence?_
4 January 2018 at 1:23 pm #164760I seem to remember Steve Bruce when leaving Latics some years ago saying something like “Its like shopping at Harrods rather than Aldi”, so let’s charge him Harrods prices 7 million sounss about right.
Now’s the best time to sell, most bigger clubs need 1 or 2 for the final push and they know who they need so there will be plenty of loanees on offer that we could pick and choose from

Nick Powell has scored more goals this year than Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez, Neymar, Kane and Zlatan combined.
5 January 2018 at 11:25 am #164768Yeah sell him, then watch all the sellers go into meltdown when our lead at the top slips and we fall into the play offs.
Passenger  Folk used to say that about Stuart Barlow as he was scoring a ponful
Different class to anything else in the league.
