Titles for a book by him?
“King Of Clubs”
“Punch Drunk”
“Guilty As Charged”
“A Kings Ransom-The Story Of A Jailed Premiership Footballer”
Thing is, he’ll end up at a club, someone like Millwall, and he’ll start knocking goals in again. He might get back up to Championship level, but I can’t see him any higher.

1. In 2002, when a rising star at Gillingham, King served nine months of an eighteen-month sentence for handling stolen goods. He was caught at the wheel of a stolen BMW convertible and told police that it had been his for two months, but it had been stolen from outside a house in Chelsea four weeeks earlier and fitted with false number plates.
2. King also has previous convictions for wounding, theft, fraudulently using a vehicle excise licence and driving offences
3. and he also had a community rehabilitation order imposed for attempting to purchase a laptop with a cloned credit card and damaging property as he was detained by store security staff.
4. He has been acquitted of another charge of smashing a bottle over a policeman’s head.
5. In November, 2008, when at Hull, he was allegedly involved in a fracas with Dean Windass in a casino in Scarborough. Hull said that that the matter had been dealt with internally.
6. The following month, only a few days before the Soho bar incident, King was banned from driving for 56 days after being caught speeding at 106 miles per hour on a stretch of road with a speed limit of 60mph.
how on earth did he find time to hone those footballing skills. oh hang on…
