      Indeed.
How much longer can this go on?
How much longer can a provincial town with 55 million of debts and losses, and barely 10000 home fans continue to sustain a place in the English Premier League. Especially when a fair chunk of the spoilt brats who claim to support the team amongst that 10000 are spitting their dummy out at the manager for not beating a team who we’ve never beaten at their ground, except for a lancashire cup tie in the mid eighties ( & even that was on penalties IIRC ) Even when they would have beaten that team were it not for some shocking refereeing & linesmen’s decisions. Grow up and give yourselves a shake you big mary ellens, and get behind the team, the way some of you behave its like you want us to get relegated

Scholes did you actually read my post or just the title???? The question I asked was how when going to a piss poor team like Blackburn Bob can justify playing 7 defensive minded players. IMO we don’t even give ourselves a chance of winning the game with that team.

I believe with the players we have there is a decent side trying to get out but I’m afraid Bob wont find it as long as I’ve got a hole in my kaiber.

I dont really see how you disagree with hindley to be honest. He is 100 percent correct, before it kicked off yesterday i said the same thing, I said to my mate that we will have loads of the ball then no one will be there to bang it in the net. i predicted 3-0 when i saw the team. What pisses me off the most about martinez is he wont play any strikers up fron but as soon as we go a couple behind he throws them on. I dont get the point he is trying to prove

No he’s not. He is implying that Blackburn are a “yellow water” team we should be beating. I simply pointed out, that “yellow water” or not, we haven’t ever beaten them at their ground whether the manager was Martinez, Bruce or Jewell. This is a fact

How is it 100% correct that we should beat a team whom we’ve never previously beaten? Based on the fact, history etc I’d say it was closer to 0% correct that we should be beating teams like Blackburn but don’t let your rants get in the way of the facts.

As for the too defensive argument, we scored two legitimate goals away from home which is easily above average
We also had 10 shots on target and 6 off target,
That notoriously defensive outfit Chelsea managed 9 on target and 7 off target at Ewood Park last week.
Either you expect us to be a more attacking side than Chelsea or you are making the mistake of letting your emotions get in the way of facts ( again )

for fans that are constantly saying history doesnt matter when the “no history argument” is thrust at them at them its amazing how history counts when it suits
well lets look at recent history v blackburn –
this current blackburn side is the worst we have played in the premiership – i work in blackburn and listen to their fans frustrations every week -they were shocking yesterday and still beat us -the sides that both jewell and bruce came up against was much much better than the one martinez’s motley mugs played against yesterday.

you can offer which ever excuse you want -facts are facts martinez cost wigan that game -not the referee -not blackburn -not history -not even the darkside moaning on here and until a change is made in the management team these arguements will grow bigger.

Maybe for all the posession and chances we create we tend not to score when we are on top, and chase the game late on. We give the opposition like Blackburn and Bolton time on the ball and the opportunity to get ahead in the game.

We all sit waiting for it to click, but I dont think it will this season…

We actually won 2-1 against Blackburn if the ref and linesman had any idea about the rules, Charlie’s goal should have stood and Roberts was a yard off side ! We had 65% posession and played some nice stuff, well done Wigan, major improvement on last week (as it needed to be) and if we carry on like that we’ll be fine.

After the game I thought it was a huge chance to get 3 points which were thrown away. Dont know what others thougth, but I feel we would be extremely fortunate if we were to come up against a team that plays as poorly as they did.

Al Habsi seemed to be caught out for their 1st, and Caldwell’s defending for Roberts goal was appalling as he probably wasnt offside. The N’Zogbia decision was farcical, but overall we didnt make enough of the possession we had

          #50508

There seem to be a lot of teams sneaking results this season through poor performances, we dont seem to be doing that. Even when we are on top we are struggling to grind out 3 points…

Doesnt look good, but always another game….

Not if we lose N’Zogbia (injury/sale) we won’t. Only one scoring any goals.
