Because when the chips were down donny half our fanbase couldnt wait to stick the boot in. Guys like vat who claim to be the best fans ever are slagging off the owners, the manager, the players, the fans. Those of us who keep the faith are idiots. Win a few and all of a sudden theyve all seen it coming.

We havent seen cupwinners since our form picked up but he spent the whole time telling us the table never lies. Last year it did apparently, no wait sorry, we got lucky.

Brownbill has done nothing but slag us for 2 years and now were expected to believe he is putting money on us to win.

If we get relegated a load of people will be queing up to tell us they were right about cook and the owners are shite. In a week when our academy (funded by the new owners) make history and put up the best of our 10 performances at Old Trafford and we win 3 in a row culminating in a 2nd win away at the league leaders to climb out the bottom 3, forgive those of us who stood by the owners, manager, players and fans for being slightly smug even if it does blow up in our face.

I think you will find that our academy was in fine fettle long before this lot took over the club. Robby had the vision years ago and was backed by uncle Dave. Pre Mr Whelan we didn’t have Christopher Park and Later Euxton. This lot have had fuck all to do with our fabulous set up that is down to Mr Whelan. They have just carried on from where our previous owners left off. Granted they are trying to maintain a very high standard and indeed are doing a good job but like everything else stu you are defending everything the owners and manager do even if they are making an arse of it. This club is where it is today because one man cared enough to bother. You can bang on about how good IEC and Cooky are but most of us who have spent an entire lifetime supporting the mighty tics know the script.

Category C academy when the whelans left. Boys against toddlers.

Within 6 months, we’re a cat B and have acquired a new training facility.

We move up a level and start to play against bigger and better clubs who we continue to beat. We then go on our best ever FA cup run.

Yep…..the new owners have done nothing.
