not scotsmans, or pearsons, nor westwood.
no more clues.
28 February 2014 at 8:30 pm #127967There is just one clue, the top of a pylon in the distance.
Power cables run west of the flashes, passing close to Westwood Flash, Scotsman’s Flash, Ochre Fash and Bryn Marsh.
It must be Ochre Flash!

1 March 2014 at 11:24 am #127977Nice one Arky,
Makes Wigan seem a verdant place to be.
Bit off the wall for the usual footy poorists, but I like the change in subject…maybe have a monthly mad change of pace with some more off the wall stuff to relieve the footy pressure.
1 March 2014 at 12:32 pm #127978not Waddikers.

2 March 2014 at 6:00 am #128004Is it Turners flash (Blackwaters) not been over them for a few years.
John I made a point at having a dig at one of your photos on another thread, let me now say all these photos you have posted in this thread are very, very good.
On first viewing I thought that weir/small waterfall on the yarrow was the one at Roach Bridge on the River Darwen (Darren), I have not been there since the Roach Bridge paper mill closed, have you seen it lately or fished the Darren.
2 March 2014 at 2:59 pm #128015Roach Bridge Tissues continue at the mill as a specialist printer of tissue paper. They generate their own hydro electricity there.
2 March 2014 at 6:23 pm #128020Roach Bridge Tissues continue at the mill as a specialist printer of tissue paper. They generate their own hydro electricity there. It is no longer a paper mill, sadly they have gone the same way as all the other small independent paper manufacturers in this area, now they are just paper converters.
