that the ONLY two attendance figures for the gobshites to be publicly and immediately declared
Just for the record – Last nights attendance was also publicly and immediately declared.

I’ll re-visit this post after next Saturday. Here’s hoping the worlds most watched sport will draw more than a tin-pot northern sport only played along a motorway linking two counties does.
Imagine the embarrassment if it didnt.
5 August 2023 at 8:22 pm #200602Nothing to be embarrassed about we are playing tier three football warriors play at the top
If warriors played in league 2 there would more stewerds than fans
Now I know you are a wind up merchant mutty and I understand why you wind latics up but doingit on here and on latics speyk is getting a bit annoying with some fans
And why the guys let you piss take on both sites is beyond me you should be binned a d leave these sites to latics fans now grow up and fuck off5 August 2023 at 8:22 pm #200603Muttty , I hope there’s someone to keep you safe and sane .. after that nailbiting ‘ victory ha ha ha ha ha last night .. in front of a packed 45.60% crowd

Mutty , we are playing in Division One it’s not a like for like comparison. We will probably get around 10,000 . Can you imagine that for a level three Rugby League match.
5 August 2023 at 10:10 pm #200609So the crowd today at Derby, doesn’t count
Eggs Vs Saints wouldn’t get that, so stick your finger in your ear and go Woo Woo Woo.
6 August 2023 at 8:25 am #200613Interesting observation there Phoenix, but I respectfully disagree. There are several places that have both superleague and football league clubs (Hull, Leeds, Huddersfield, Salford and Wigan), but there’s only two where more folk watch the rugby year on year than the football (Salford & Wigan). Salford have only been a league club for about 3 years and their ground holds 5,000. I looked at Horc’s post re average attendances:
Our average attendance this season 12,210.
This is our highest annual attendance for 8 years
2023 our average was 12210 (R)
2022 our average was 10371 (P)
2021 (Covid)
2020 our average was 10,592 (R)
2019 our average was 11,663 –
2018 our average was 9,152 (P)
2017 our average was 11,772 (R)
2016 our average was 9,467 (P)
2015 our average was 12882 (R)Excluding 2020 & 2021, when superleague was under covid restrictions for attendances, would it surprise you that in 6 of the 7 seasons listed, the average attendance was higher for the rugby?
2022 – 12280 (12210)
2019 – 11015 (10371)
2018 – 11479 (11663 – the only one lower)
2017 – 13189 (9152)
2016 – 13636 (11772)
2015 – 13911 (9467)
2014 – 14101 (12282)6 August 2023 at 11:42 am #200621Interesting observation there Phoenix, but I respectfully disagree. You seem to be obsessed with Wigan Athletic , I think it’s probably down to jealousy. Despite all we have been through our fan base remains strong and the support yesterday at Derby was absolutely phenomenal !
