Martinez blames the Sunderland third goal for defeat saying we are not getting the big decisions. After we scored we did the old sitting back routine and got punished, They would have scored again anyway. He also states that every game we go into we are competitive. I think not, a few games towards the end of a very poor and un-productive season does not constitute competitive in every game.
How the hell can you watch Latics and say things like that with a straight face. It is just totally barmy, I wish i could find positives in things Martinez can see but i just can’t, I do not honestly know where he looks. Even reading his comments, Because im so angry i read them out and in my mind i can hear his stupid Spanish accent saying the words then it p1sses me off even more.
4 games to go. In bottom three on goal difference. Its hardly time to start attacking the manager and team. Get behind the lads and lets continue to march on in a league we have no right to be in anyway. I cant stand armchair fans who cant wait to jump on our every defeat. We were great last week. Poor for 35 minutes this week. Thats football, this is the Premier League and we are still in with a great chance of staying up and conitinuing with the fairytale that is Wigan Athletic. We were marginally the better team up to their first goal and then worryingly did our self destruct act (which hasnt been seen for a while). Bobby is right to say it wasnt a penalty but equally it wasnt the reason we lost.
We are in a much stronger position than we were before last weeks games, none of the teams around us have won again and we have now scored 5 goals in 2 games away from home. We have also played some of our best football of the season in the last couple of months and have played with a real togetherness at times. I wouldnt like to be in the trenches with some of you men. The white flag would go up within an hour!

Yeah and last week i said they were great which they were for that one game. Im not biased towards slating them, Why would i be against my own team. I just call it how i see it.

forgive me if i am wrong(but as we all know the darkside always are) but isnt it ALWAYS the ‘luvvies’ on here who always are first to post that the “darkside are coming” every time there is an inept gutless display ?
was this thread not the opening salvo ?*I have it on good authority that the players were absolutely gobsmacked by the support at Blackpool and this was reflected in their performance. Simple types, I know, but it is nevertheless probably a blessing that they don’t have the interest/wherewithal to bother with this forum.
