was this thread not the opening salvo ?It wasn’t an opening salvo, more of a warning flare. Clearly the intelligence gathered was correct, as there were numerous attacks that followed.
As one who was spotted lurking in no man’s land after the Blackpool campaign, but chose not to even fire a shot, can you not see why defences are strengthened following a defeat, as the battlefield activity increases substantially thereafter, much more so than following a victory?
