2 April 2017 at 3:47 pm #157460It’s time for us to admit it. We are terrible, no prospect of ever getting back to former glories and the town isn’t interested.
did your team lose on friday by any chance ;)
2 April 2017 at 7:50 pm #157463Can’t fault your loyalty but I’ve had enough I’m afraid. :(
No season ticket for me next season. I’ll pick my matches. Probably the midweek games as I want my Satudays back to do other stuff. ;)

Well commitments mean that I’ve not been able to go as much as I,d like but I intend to be at most games next season. I didn’t sign up as a Latics fan to expect them to be in the top 2 leagues. Whatever league good or bad win or lose a fan is a fan. We have seen so much over the years and come so far so a few lean times shouldn’t and wont stop me going whenever possible.
2 April 2017 at 9:18 pm #157466I will be there next season, because i am a true Latics fan forever.
When you have seen us get beaten 4-0 at Frickley, relegation from Division 2 is just beer and skittles.
All these tarts jumping ship can fuck off for me.
We are Wigan Athletic, enjoy the ride and stop fucking moaning.2 April 2017 at 9:29 pm #157467I don’t understand this ‘if we go down, I’m not coming next season bollox’. If you are a fan of Wigan Athletic, you should watch them at whatever level they are playing at. As a fan you take the rough with the smooth and support your club.
I will be there next season no matter what league we are in.

From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!2 April 2017 at 10:29 pm #157469I will be there next season, because i am a true Latics fan forever. When you have seen us get beaten 4-0 at Frickley, relegation from Division 2 is just beer and skittles.

We are Wigan Athletic, enjoy the ride and stop fucking moaning.Well think about this. At 3.30 am Saturday morning I’ll be the moaning tart in the taxi heading for Berlin aiport to get my 6 am flight to Manchester to ensure I don’t miss our game against mighty Rotheram ……………… :P
I’m fed up of of living my life and arranging holidays around Saturday fixtures. Whats the point of forking out for a season ticket if you end up missing half a dozen games.I’ll still be there next season. But it won’t be every game.
And I’ll get more Weekends in The Lakes……… B)
2 April 2017 at 10:33 pm #157470It doesn’t even cross my mind to not follow Latics whatever level we are at and that goes for most people on CL. Why would we it’s our life.
2 April 2017 at 10:57 pm #157471We’ve had a bad season,so what, we might go down,so what, we might be playing in a different league next season, so what. Wigan athletic is our club, the club we have chosen to support no matter what. As we all know when you support a football club you have to take the rough with the smooth. We’ve had some good times and we will again but as it is we have to take it on the chin. Its not over yet and we will no doubt fight on ’till the end. Yes it hurts and i too throw my tea at the back of the fire, kick the dog, fall out with the missus on a saturday neet when we loose but i get over it and make my way down anjou boulevard the following week, thats what you do when you support wigan athletic.

Strange post for a latics fan, if you are one?2 April 2017 at 11:59 pm #157474Love your optimism but then the realism kicks in.
We will fight to the end.
The reality is we have to. I fear for the club if/when we go down.
As Theresa would say, Relagation means Relegation. I fear where the club will be in 5 years time. I fear we will implode. :S
If people turn their back on the club, as some on here have said they will, it will be tough. But if those football snobs grow a pair and decide that League One isn’t beneath them we should be OK.
I will be there next season…being a fan means being there whatever the division. I just fear what division that will be in 5 years time
It worries me at times where we will be in ten years but wherever that is I shall still be there. Look the eight thousand or so fans we have this season that weren’t there twenty years ago may not fancy lower league or non league football but I don’t enjoy Latics anymore now or when we were in the greed league than in the Non League days. Bloody loved the Chorley derbys and the cup runs and all the extra matches just as much as any other period in Latics recent history.
Football has changed donny from the olden days and not for the better in some fans eyes (mine incl). But our club has moved on and so does the thinking of some fans. We will be the BIG club in league 1. I don’t like that fact but we’ll have to get used to it. Unless we do turn our fortunes around.
