This January transfer window is the make or break of out season.
N’Zogbia has today said he would be “intrested” in a move to Birmingham if the deals right with both clubs.
Scharner has made no secret that he wants to move and with his contract up in the summer Whelan is more likely to cash in then to lose him on a free at the end of the season.
If Fig says the word then Whelan will drive him to Sunderland.
BUT
If we can keep hold of all our players this January and bring in a Striker a Right Winger and a Solid Defender then we could turn this Season around.
Also i think the backroom staff need a shake up. Does that fat Spanish Goalkeeper Coach do anything ? Last night he had Amaya crossing balls into Pollitt to warm him up and not one of them went where Pollitt wanted.

we have a squad of squad players – with a couple of exceptions – but thats what they are – exceptions
But can you see anyone coming in for the likes of Gomez or Cho ?
Plus its a fact we have a small squad, So getting players in and non out would be ideal.
We can only wait and see.
It looks like we have passed the last turning point. We look like we are on the fast downhill section.
I am sick of the why’s, wherefore’s and excuses being spouted by Roberto Martinez and I am sick of his statement that ‘we will have to work hard’. Does this mean that thay have not been working hard already? If not, why not?
It looks like the only way out is to get the cheque book out and buy some decent players – not crap ones from the lower divisions – but let me predict Robeto’s next excuse – “it takes time to make a team work together”
We are a selling club, I can see 3 or 4 going and possibly 5 or 6 coming in IF Whelan gives Martinez the cash. I have said 3 or 4 players leaving as in regular players (Zog, Figueroa, Scharner and 1 other…… possibly Hugo???). All I know is we need more than 2 or 3 players to turn this team around, 1 solid centre back, 1 right back, a central midfielder (defensive), a central midfielder (creative/attacking), a right winger and 2 strikers (1 striker, 1 to play off him). Also, if the players stated do leave we must replace them, we’ll just have to see what happens.
