FIFA partner for Massey
4 January 2019 at 2:56 pm #174780Never mind a left back we need, Kone at the back , I thought he had promise when he arrived but of late he’s cost us a lot of goals and is a lazy sod who doesn’t get back .
4 January 2019 at 3:00 pm #174781I hope its just a rumour but very disturbing news if it is regarding Cook and playing certain players and receiving a fee for playing them I just can’t see it.
4 January 2019 at 3:02 pm #174783I really can’t see that being true

Aside from it being illegal, if Cook was doing it I’m sure he’d be only to eager to tell people about it so it could surface on Twitter and forums like this.4 January 2019 at 5:34 pm #174794I’ve a feeling Walkers recall may be something to do with the rumoured transfer to Rangers.
McManaman would surely be the ideal replacement for the injured Massey.. and to be honest he should have been playing there all season anyway.Walker can’t sign for another club until next season due to FIFA regulations.

Fair enough, I thought it was within the same FA, not across all FIFA affiliated clubs.
5 January 2019 at 11:23 am #174821Imho, we need….
A left back. Shame we didnt get Elder.
Another centre back. To fill Burns spot.
A creative midfielder, a Forshaw type.
A nippy, fox in the box, type striker.
I wouldn’t be opposed to us selling,.or shipping out a few players also…

Well we have known about the first two of those positions for months so we should have at least those two in the side today in preparation for the Villa game. I wouldnt really ship out too many, perhaps 7 or 8.
5 January 2019 at 1:03 pm #1748267 or 8 isn’t too many? Glad you don’t want a cull Donny lol.
5 January 2019 at 2:59 pm #174827Id say 2 or 3 out at most….but cant see much happening due to reasons below…
Though this depends on how many incoming we have, if any.
Walker is a problem, despite not looking like he has a future here, as hes played for 2 clubs already in the past year. We are quite limited with who we can ship out for this reason, at this time. Its not like we can cut the wage bill much.
Our biggest sellable asset, Powell, is injured, so it looks as if unless IEC back the manager, whoever that is, its going to be a difficult window.
5 January 2019 at 5:49 pm #1748337 or 8 isn’t too many? Glad you don’t want a cull Donny lol.Donny is being pretty reasonable there I think.
Here is a list of 9 players who are not good enough for this level and wouldn’t be missed.Naismith
Roberts
Cole
Walker
Connolly
Evans
Robinson
Bruce
FloresI could go on and add the likes of Byrne, Massey, Vaughan, Garner, and Windass, as well as the ones Cook doesn’t seem to want anyway, Lopes, McDonald and McManaman.
We might be a bit thin on the ground mind, if a cull of this level was made in January.
5 January 2019 at 6:32 pm #174836I’m warming to Naismith and would like to see him in a more forward role as he is a superb crosser of a ball.
Cook definitely wants McManaman just not in the same role you do and who knows how fit MacDonald is after his injury? Tough nowadays with no reserves.

A truly awful mess of recruitment made all round there. A mess and one that was not supposed to ever happen again when Sharpe brought in some panel to sort out recruitment.
Now we are hearing whispers of us going for even more dross. Some defender who cannot get in Readings side.
What are you going to do about this mess Jim Royale? Bring in a couple more ringers from The Feathers Sunday League side with your Antony as first team coach? -
