Alan Hutton Spurs, would £4 million be enough for him? If we even have that…Centre Back
Nedum Onouha Man City, I think he’s a top centre back, or full back for that matter, at a club where he’s not going to get a game. I think we should take advantage. £5 million tops?Matthew Kilgallon Sheff Utd, another solid centre back. He’s out of contract in the summer so will Sheff Utd cash in? Hopefully, £3.5 million should do it.
Jonas Olsson West Brom, an outsider but a solid centre half. £4 million?
Right Midfielder (So N’Zogbia can return to the left, and Rodallega can return up front)
Albert Crusat, a target from last summer. Would we rekindle an interest? £3 million?
David Bentley, big shout, and probably an expensive one. Could Fig be used as bait? Considering Spurs are short of a decent left back.
Victor Moses, I hope this one goes through. He’s an immense talent. And I hope if we do get him then Bobby will give him a few first team games. Unlike Sinclair, McCarthy etc. Get him for £4 million?
Hatem Ben Arfa, Lyon winger, another huge shout. But I’ve heard these rumours in the past. I’d be surprised though.
Striker (at least one)
Benjani, as shown at Pompey, given games he can be class. And considering the lack of strikers here he’d get that for sure. £3 million?
Jason Roberts, has been told he can leave Rovers. A return for him would re install some team spirit and fight that’s been missing in recent weeks. I’d sign him and make him captain. But you can bet that Whelan won’t spend more than what he sold him for. Which is fair enough I suppose, but Spurs signed Defoe for double what they sold him for, and that seems to be paying off…
Benni McCarthy, another class act on his day. Has always scored goals against us, and has been told he can leave Blackburn. Could we sign him and Roberts in a “double deal?”
Raul Tamudo, another target from the summer, will Bobby get his man this time round?
Scott McDonald, personally I don’t think he’d be a hit and I’m glad we don’t seem to be signing him.
Out the door, I’d get rid of…

Edman (same applies, that performance at Spurs alone was enough for me. Does he still have a soft spot for his former club?)
Watson, looks like Bobby’s not a fan. And having seen him on loan at QPR, neither am I.
Melchiot, should be kept as back up at best. Past his peak and too slow. Very vulnerable indeed, not enough leadership for a skipper. I’d sell up.
Kingson, need I explain? In 2 words: poor keeper.

However I’d keep Koumas and de Ridder as i think these guys are technically very good. Koumas should be on the left for me, if Zog has to be on the right. He has skill and quality, as shown against Villa. Then he was dropped.
And for de Ridder, I don’t see why people are slagging him off. He hasn’t had a chance to shine this season. And last season in his brief appearances he looked very good. Remember on the final day vs Pompey? He was class just behind Hugo, and I think Bobby should give him a chance there in place of Scharns, who I think should partner Bramble at the back.

I don’t believe it either, but I heard it in several places. So it could be, admittedly unlikely, more than just a rumour.

Dont think we should sign Kilgallon or Olsonn, both probably not good enough for the prem, In the striker department you just echoed the 3 that I have been shouting, Roberts, McCarthy and Benjani, would have ether of them. Bentley and Ben arfa, they are both unrealistic in my eyes and especially Ben arfa, but not sure about the Man utd being quoted blah blah for him like Griff said, they may have been quoted that for Benzema but not Ben arfa (maybe Griff should stop believing the ‘gossip’ himself before he comments on other people believing it, as if he has read a £40m quote for Ben arfa, It was gossip).
Dont think Scott McDonald would be a hit like you said.for who to get rid of, More or less agree with everything you said, But I would definately keep hold of Edman, Whether its just because with Fig rumoured to be going we need somebody there still and would be very short without him, or because I do actually think he’s good enough and just had a shocker vs Spurs. But i would keep him. I especially agree 100% with what you say about Koumas and De Ridder, Koumas was awesome in that 1st game and should have kept his place for a while, maybe he feels like he’s being treated unfairly, to me it seems like he is, never know what’s going on behind the scenes though. Also De Ridder, only problem he had was he looked too weak, but looked quality in flashes of certain games and would love to see him given another chance.

Koumas best position is in centre midfield as a play maker not on the wing
Well, often players that are too skilfull to play in centre mid get put out on the wing. (Ronaldinho, Zidane, Bullard) And in most if not all of his appearances for us, he’s been out on the left.
