Having lived in Marseille for two years, I know many people at the club. I happen to know for a FACT* that this price has been quoted. I knew about it 3 days before it hit the BBC gossip page. However, when I am given confidential information I don’t share it.
I have never lost an argument in my life; I am unlikely to start with you.
“Go get a life loser!”??? – Do me a favour, and grow up!
That griff is the single most biggest piece of bulls**t I ever ever heard. It wouldn’t have been in the ‘GOSSIP’ column if it was Fact, it would have been on a fact page and been stated as fact NOT gossip.
‘I have never lost an argument in my life’
.. You, my friend, need to grow up, of course you have lost arguments and if anyone cares to read through the whole thread, you have just lost another to me. Now that is *FACT as you put it!

And you, my son, are easier to wind up than my 5 year-old’s watch.
But actually, I do know one of the top people in Marseille, for what it’s wortjh
Find that hard to believe Griff to be fair but fair enough. But you still lost an argument to me and they still didn’t get quoted £40m. the fact that I was right wound you up very much though didnt it Griffamundo :P
Well, often players that are too skilfull to play in centre mid get put out on the wing. (Ronaldinho, Zidane, Bullard) And in most if not all of his appearances for us, he’s been out on the left.
How can you be too skillful to play in centre mid?
What I meant by that is in the centre of midfield nowadays you have ball-winners. Hard nuts that are tough tackling, either that or brilliant passers. Players like Zidane, Ronaldinho and even Koumas to an extent aren’t these type of players. They like to dribble and use their raw skill and flair. But in the middle, there’s not enough room to do this, so they’re put on the wing where there’s more space and opportunities to dribble.
Not sure about using the names Ronaldinho and Zidane in the same sentence as Koumas is doing your argument any favours but I know what you mean, Koumas is a raw talent, maybe even a great talent but cant be arsed, I want him to have another chance and I would like to see him in Scharners position. I for one think he would love to play there.
How many “chances” do some people want to give Jason Koumas. He’s been here for 2 & a half years now & has had plenty of em & fecked em all up.
He has shown, briefly, in sub appearances that he can produce good moments yet when given a starting berth he flops & is dropped a couple of games later, doesn’t get a chance for a while, comes on as a sub down the line, produces some good moments, gets recalled etc…
Basically he isn’t good enough – whether that be down to his ability or attitude is irrelevant but he never produced “it” for West Brom in the top flight in 2 seasons & he’s never produced “it” for us. I’d cancel his contract & get rid of him for nowt but if we can get some gullible championship side to fork out a few million for him then all the better

I have been a big fan of Koumas – he is my “clean socks” type of player – but I agree his time is up. I was hoping he would have grabbed the couple of “second” chances he has already had this season but he doesn’t even look interested.
He played well in the 1st game vs Aston Villa and cannot remember when he got dropped this season but I dont remember him playing too badly before he got dropped. Also I am assuming that he got dropped to allow Rodallega onto the wing and Scotland up front, I can say right now, hand on my heart, I would rather have Koumas on the wing, Rodallega up front and Scotland on the bench. No matter how lazy you think he is etc etc, that would be better as I would prefer both for Rodders to be up front and Koumas to be in instead of Scotland.
We know Koumas has the skill somewhere so I would rather be on the pitch. Also because even if Koumas hasn’t delivered, he has still delivered more than Scotland has, Plus doing what I said would mean we had a goalscorer up front and NOT scotland, and Koumas in the team who has hardly played and still scored more than Scotland.
Also because even if Koumas hasn’t delivered, he has still delivered more than Scotland has,
Well, that makes sense, doesn’t it?
I knew there was a reason it was pointless arguing with you.[/quote]
Please explain, when he is on he gives more to the team than Scotland. You will argue with me about this even if you agree with me because Scotland adds nothing.
