Hey up they’ve won summut and the cherry and shyte are wetting themselves.
The very fact that just one of these “African” players you refer to earns more than the entire Worriors team put together, just about sums it up really.
Oh and the fact that one pemiership teams crowd is bigger than all the soup or leak crowds put together each week.
I suggest you go and argue with someone who follows a similar world standing sport to rugby league. I’m sure there are plenty of crown green bowling, tiddley winks and kick out can fans out there to talk to. Hey and their teams might be made up of all home grown players.
From Matlock to ManU

thats the magnificent 7 !
if we are going to debate something , bring things to the table that have a bearing on the issue ??
what does a mercenaries salary have to do with the situation ?
but this has defo won the comics award for the day so far …….Oh and the fact that one pemiership teams crowd is bigger than all the soup or leak crowds put together each week.
i notice you didnt say wafc’s crowd  the fact that you could only really use united for this analogy doesnt really cut much ice does it
maybe if there was a sprinkling of wiganers in your team there would be more genuine home support ??
its hurting you isnt it :?: :(

Laughing boy ..oh dear
4 October 2010 at 10:17 pm #48104fact…we get bigger crowds than you!!!
WTF does it matter were the lads come from who play for your team. I support Wigan Athletic, thats my team and always will be no matter who puts on the blue and white shirt.
I’ve been watching and cheering on Europe in the Ryder cup today and guess what…..not one feker came from Wigan. It really doesn’t matter sunshine.
And by the way, take all the over seas players out of your shower of shyte and you wouldn’t have a team good enuff to beat owdum ruffyeds.PS; Nice to see one of your home growners winning the MOM award at OT. ;)
Oh and finally “We don’t have any home grown players currently in our first team” that good enough for you, now do one!!

we have a winner :!: :!: :!: :!:
bar a few bits of that rant you almost made a modicum of sense .
it does matter though , the fact there are no wigan players in the wigan team , regardless of it not concerning you , it will matter to others , that is a fact .
you obviously have a passion for the team that sounds deep rooted , possibly dating back to the dark ages , surely you must agree that churning out your own players , seeing the lads come through the ranks gives a greater sense of accomplishment .
you also get more from these players , a greater commitment than any pay cheque can buy ?regarding the removal of our imports going and then not beating owdham , you couldnt be more wrong . strength in depth , thats what we have right now , lads just waiting for their chance
MOM , a homegrowner came a very close second , closer than any wigan footballer will ge the mom for wafc 8-)
problems being stored up for the future

your obsession with dark things is uncomfortable
4 October 2010 at 11:12 pm #48111how many home grown players in the current latics first team ?At least 8, that’s the rules. Read up on what is considered ‘Homegrown’ in the Premier League ruling.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal … 858634.stm4 October 2010 at 11:36 pm #48112so , for all those that missed it the first , second and third time round , i’ll ask again ………..
HOW MANY HOME GROWN PLAYERS ARE IN THE LATICS 25 MAN SQUAD !?

And, for those who missed my comment the first time round – that’s you Jewel, but well done for side-stepping it; Brett Kenny would have been proud of that one – here it is again:-
Of course more of your players come from Wigan, you berk. The game’s only played in Wigan and about 15 other pit villages or penal colonies
Football’s a global game, that’s why very few clubs have a lot of players from their home town.
But I wouldn’t expect you to get the concept of “global”. I bet you’ve never left Leyland, have you?
griff they dont get the concept of global because they think its the M62 corridor5 October 2010 at 11:19 am #48127how many home grown players in the current latics first team ?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal … 858634.stm
oh yes , arsenal are full of homegrown talent with those rules arent they ?
your too late anyway sir , the question has allready been answered
5 October 2010 at 1:37 pm #48143the fact the product is global means jack .
by that rational there must be lots of wigan lads making it in the big time football leagues in other countries , aaahhh , now i get it :lol:You are comfortably the thickest mong that has ever graced this forum. I am now thinking you are on the wind-up because you can’t in all honesty be this stupid.
The fact that football is global means that far more people around the world play it and so there is therefore statistically less chance of you finding Wiganer’s playing for professional clubs. That said, there are Wigan lads playing proferssional football (Andy Griffin, Chris Porter).
As only about 65 people play rugby league globally and one of the few places it is played is Wigan it stands to reason that there would be more Wiganers playing the game professionally. I wouldn’t expect a professional rugby league player from a far flung location such as, oh I don’t know, say Crewe, because no fu**er there has ever played the game.
As for no-one answering your question, what’s the point? It’s a rhetorical* question because we all and you know the answer is none. But so what? Because, contrary to what you say, no Latics fan gives a flyer if there is a lad from Wigan in the team or not.
*look it up
5 October 2010 at 4:01 pm #48160Is it just coincidence, or is there something to read into the fact that all ‘jewels’ posts on this thread are prior to 8:30am or after 4:30pm.
I think we may just have to wait for the next nonsensical replies later today when the school bell goes, or he puts his sweeping cart away.
