hardly anyone plays RL outside of wigan.?
try opening your eyes to the massive amateur game that is thriving . oxford and cambridge uni’s , the armed forces the midlands, i could go on ..
Oh right so we’re including amateurs now are we. Why didn’t you say that in the first place. In that case Wigan Athletic has brought hundreds of players through, many of who have played semi and fully pro, in addition to that there are dozens, if not hundreds if you include junior teams in the Wigan areas with hundreds of Wigan footballers. If you’re including a few dozen Northern oiks exiled at posh universities down south in your analysis of rugby league I’m including probably thousands of amateur footballers in Wigan to ensure we’re being consistent.
Try again.
BTW A product of the Wigan Athletic Youth policy who has played several times in the first team played in front of 48,000 yesterday North of the border at the weekend http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tn … 2119932205
what has RL being a smaller sport in comparrison to foozball got to do with anything ??
It has everything to do with your ridiculous argument that you expect the global game of football to be awash with native Wiganers just because the parochial game of rugby league has a few of them in it.
I am butting out of this thread now in favour of debating the relative merits of Pokemon DS and Super Mario Galaxy 64 for DS with my 6-year old son. It is a much more fulfilling and challenging activity.

It is actually spelt foosball [link2:3j1cun1m]Link,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Table_football%5B/link2:3j1cun1m%5D, but I suppose your right, it doesn’t have any baring on this debate (slaughter, whichever way you look at it).
that is very funny, and it could well be true that foosball is more popular as well
have all the bits of sh.1t that have been stuck to the inside of the toilet bowl been flushed away yet?. I know Jason gave it a good flush last night. that piece of sh.1t that was wii fat as gone. there was still a tiny tiny piece stuck to the side of the bowl this morning about 5.12am. I know the lads on here have been flushing away all-day.a harpic duck might sort this problem out.I reckon industrial strength bleach should sort it out

no , not the entire game , but your own club should have a sprinkling at least ??
seems im right then , you are deluded if you think its all well and good not to have a strong , or for that matter , any kind of youth policy and its fine just to keep bringing in the foreign mercenaries
what did Whitney once sing ” i believe the children are our future ” ?
obviously doesnt apply in the fairy tale gaga land of premiership fooSball ,but more relative to this discussion , wafc .
you are heading for a big fall my pedigree chums :!:
or is the shame so great you dont want to acknowledge the fact the no self respecting wigan lad wants to play for you , yet they are desperate to play for the lodgers ??
THERE ARE ONLY 15 OTHER PIT TEAMS THEY COULD PLAY FOR WHEREAS FOOTBALLERS HAVE THE WHOLE WORLD TO CHOOSE FROM!!!!
DO YOU HAVE TO WORK HARD AT BEING A THICK C*** OR DOES IT COME NATURALLY TO YOU?
Sorry, Admin – ban me
So footballers have the whole world to chose from. Then where are all these Wigan born footballers playing?
Martyn Lancaster is probably the ultimate globetrotting Wigan born footballer.
Quite a few wiganers up in Scotland too and I believe one of Accringtons current centre back pairing is a 17 or 18 year old Wiganer who has just forced himself into the first team. He probably slipped our net in the same way Lee Croft and Andy Griffin did.
