Well if that bit is true then the club is a fucking joke!
Apparently Mackay was recommended to Whelan by members of the backroom and playing staff who’d played with him or been managed by him in the past.

Totally agree. OMG that’s feckin shocking. A candidate like that and they turned it down….for Mackay. Christ on a bike….
How would Chris Hughton have coped under the same scenario as Malky. Malky was brought in and anything left that resembled a decent footballer was gotten rid of in January. He was on a hiding for nothing with the board off loading as an insurance in preparation for League One. I guess Chris Hughton would not have come under those circumstances anyway.

That’s all in the past so pointless dwelling on it. We have far more important issues to worry about.
