Has this mon forgot how to kick a ball?
19 August 2009 at 5:11 pm #5625:shock: No he has been told to pass it or throw it out
19 August 2009 at 5:39 pm #5641Why start an attack in our own box when we can start one deep into theirs?
19 August 2009 at 5:42 pm #5642You sound like Steve Bruce
19 August 2009 at 5:48 pm #5645You sound like Steve Bruce :roll:Nay, John Beck.
“Knock it long into the corners….where we’ve sanded it. Hold the ball up, lay it off back to the full back and get bodies in the box for the cross as he whips it in”
That was his style.
“Everybody in their life has at some time, strove to achieve something extraordinairy. Most people fail and don’t reach their goal, but some people carry on and strive to achieve their goals through displaying the necessary cohesion. Senge-The Fifth Discipline”
The above is an extract from John Beck’s programme notes from a Lincoln City V Latics programme, circa 1995. Honestly, I’m not messing.
19 August 2009 at 6:52 pm #5653Has this mon forgot how to kick a ball?Yeah even Kirky kicked it inot the crowd a few times if I recall. IMHO he has never been that good a kicker, it nearly always comes down with Ozone on it.
19 August 2009 at 7:30 pm #5655He tried to do a quick long kick to Koumas last night. The problem was, the ball was in the air that long that the whole Wolves defence and midfield had got back and regrouped before it even came back down and then it had snow on.
He can’t kick it flat and he can’t kick it straight. He doesn’t react quick enough to situations, he can’t run and he’s indecisive. Apart from that he’s alright.
19 August 2009 at 7:43 pm #5657I thought the wolves goalie had the longest and most acurate kick i’ve ever seen from a keeper.
Looked a bit dodgy holding on to the few half hearted attempts we had though. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!19 August 2009 at 10:25 pm #5677I thought the wolves goalie had the longest and most acurate kick i’ve ever seen from a keeper.
That’s exactly what me and hubby said last night, he nearly kicked it in our box. And the previous posters assesment on Kirky (much as I luv the fella) was spot on.19 August 2009 at 10:38 pm #5685Don’t forget suffered a dead leg at villa on saturday, they normally take longer than two days to recover.
19 August 2009 at 10:57 pm #5691Oh yeah forgot about that. I was being a bit harsh then. But still last season his kicks do seem to go into orbit allowing the opposition to regroup.
