Good fuckin’ riddance! The question is do we trust the inept board to get it right this time?

The players on the pitch are simply not good enough for Championship level.
Low investment last summer was the killer for me, a change of manager won’t change anything , why will it ?

We all thought it was a very ,very risky appointment and so it proved. The question is can we trust this Board to now make the right appointment ? In my view Leam Richardson should never have been sacked in the first place. The issue was not his ability as a Manager but the fact he was not given the resources in the summer to strengthen the squad . Had he been given the green light to bring in two or three proven Championship players I am sure we would have at least been sitting comfortably in mid table. You reap what you sow as they say and here we are now almost certain to be relegated. However ,it’s not over until the fat lady sings but if we are to have any chance of survival the Board have to bring in the right person and back him in the last few days of the transfer window.

Sick to death of people saying “the players aren’t good enough” the same players where holding their own at the beginning of the season, we need a manager that has experience for the championship, a manager that can change things for the better when things are going tits up, a strong manager that doesn’t have favourites and will choose the team on merit.

Until we get that type of manager we will struggle in this division.

I’ve always said it and it will always be the case coaches and managers are chalk and cheese and that’s just been proven with both Richardson and Toure.
I have no doubt both are great coaches and both know how to get players ready and match fit but the picking of the sides, talking to players, leaving certain players out and then convince them it’s a good move is what great managers do not coaches.

We just need a stubborn old head, level these lot out, make us hard to beat, make them believe. Personally and I hope I’m so wrong I don’t think it’s Maloney’s time, possibly in the summer yes with a full summer window but to instill his way into a load of players 16 of who are off in the summer will be a monumental task for someone so young and with little managerial skills.

Whether we agree or not we have to get behind him and the players so to the boo boys and disbelievers? Stay away till the start of 2023-2024 your not what’s needed right now

I still think Richardson would have succeeded given the back up in the summer.People say he had his favourites but were they favourites or just players who he knew were probably not good enough but would give 100% every game and not go missing when our backs are against the wall. However, its no use looking back we have to hope they bring the right person in and let’s all get behind him.

No problem getting behind the right person, with Kalamity Kolo I just couldn’t because I had the feeling he wasn’t the right man from the off, my instinct proved correct.

I felt he might be given time and a decent transfer window but with little improvement in fact worse, the board decided enough was enough. He had to show them he can get a win or two with what’s at hand but as the old says goes

“A good tradesman never blames his tools”
We certainly don’t have a top 10 squad but any half decent manager would at least get a point or 3 here and there as we’ve been good for a goal up till of late.

Maloney’s nothing to lose bar my biggest fear (was LR’s)

Certain players need to be dropped or subbed. I don’t need to be naming all know who so if it’s obvious to us it’s going to be crystal clear to Maloney.

Certain players the likes of Scully need to be given a chance. I hope I’m wrong but it could be possibly be future appearance we’ll owe Lincoln hence he’s not getting on the grass.

Also, why tf didn’t all these loan players have emergency claw back clauses put in their contract because right now this is a full alarm red light emergency and they could be the difference between up or down.

Again for me poor insight by the club to think we won’t need any till next season
I don’t know I’m lost. I thank the owners for digging us out the rubble but you have to make sure that rubble doesn’t fall back into the trench and bury you and their showing very little of that bar filling managers pockets with sack bonuses.
