Anyone would think Sky were going down the table in alphabetical order the time we’ve had to wait….except the superstars of Yeovil have already been on

13 February 2014 at 2:30 am #127263aye but it now gives them armchair and pub fans the opportuntity to spend there giro in the pub and not the ground again
13 February 2014 at 12:10 pm #127265aye but it now gives them armchair and pub fans the opportuntity to spend there giro in the pub and not the ground againNot sure that is so much of an issue with us as it is with other football clubs and, partcularly, the rugby. I get the impression that most people who want to watch Wigan Athletic actually go to the games, regardless of kick-off time.
Might be wrong, but it’s quite unusual ;)

think you are wrong on this one, get your tom jones record out. if i remember rightly it was rife when we were in the prem and pubs had it on them dodgy satelites. i ll let you know after the game amd i bet therell be others that will leave plenty behind in the pubs as they make way to the game

Yeah, but… there’s a difference between people who watch it in the pub just because it happens to be on but aren’t real supporters anyway (which is the kind I suspect you are talking about) and those who actively claim to support the team but don their replica shirt and settle down in the pub to watch (and I have seen many rugby fans do this).
Then again, I suppose the fact that I have never seen Latics fans do this is because I am at the match myself at the time!
13 February 2014 at 7:28 pm #127286My rugby viewing record in recent seasons
Season – Matches played Missed Watched on TV – Reason
2013 – 35 1 1 – France, couldn’t afford
2012 – 33 4 1 – Featherstone away, working
2011 – 36 2 1 – In-laws birthday
2010 – 34 2 1 – Hull away, working
2009 – 34 1 0Exception to the rule there clearly :)
13 February 2014 at 11:23 pm #127290its leeds at home, those who need to be there will be there ;)

like i said earlier armchair pub fans spending giro in pub instead of going to match. if the game was not on telly then some would probobly go to the game. i dont think timing as someone said as anything to with it either
14 February 2014 at 12:20 am #127295Think the tv companies started with the letter q and got stuck there like the jet stream !
