23 February 2014 at 6:11 pm #127703Leeds game on sky 12.15 ko.
Why are Sky so obsessed with Leeds?
Their away game at Yeovil was on,they were on yesterday at Middlesborough. They’re on again next Saturday at QPR and then against us.
Why, when they’ve been shite for years, do they think people will want to watch them every week as opposed to us.
O’Leary was in charge when they last had a decent team.
Perhaps the producer is a Leeds fan !! :cheer:

Am genuinely astonished they show the chubbies on TV, who would care?
24 February 2014 at 2:51 pm #127734seems to be something in common between sky sports and tv show horizon
horizon shows dying species and and animals very close to extinction
sky sports is taking the same theme
leeds are looking like an animal close to extinction ,qpr if not promoted this season will be in real trouble next year due to very high wages and could end up in shyte
and has for wigan wurriors..finding wigan fans that actually live in wigan is like findind lord lucan
and a sport that will be very lucky to be around in ten years time
so yes there is a scarry connection between sky sports and horizon27 February 2014 at 1:20 am #127865the chubbies ????
are they little chub??
fry

17 April 2014 at 5:08 pm #129958Well we’ve been ignored yet again by SKY.
Tomorrow they are showing Burnley – Blackpool
Saturday Leicester – QPR
Monday Leeds (for the 50th time this season) – Forest.I’d argue our games against Reading and Burnley have more at stake given Leicester and Burnley are already promoted and Leeds and Forest have no chance anyway.
Really pisses me off – we’ve been on Sky twice this season.
17 April 2014 at 5:19 pm #129959Really pisses me off – we’ve been on Sky twice this season. :angry:And played crap in them both.
Thought the Burnley game might be on.
17 April 2014 at 5:21 pm #129960I think there’s only Philip Schofield and Ant n Dec who have been on TV more times than Leeds and QPR this year.

Why? If you go to the game, why are you even arsed if it’s on the tele or not?
17 April 2014 at 5:42 pm #129962I think they may be annoyed that we are not reaping in as much telly money as the “bigger” clubs…………and they may have a point.

What a journey!17 April 2014 at 5:45 pm #129963Aren’t the TV rights shared?
17 April 2014 at 6:29 pm #129964There is a basic pot which is shared equally to all teams in the same division but then there is also an amount given to a team when they are selected to appear which I think is supposed to cover (amongst other things) loss of revenue through the turnstiles when a game is on the telly
Unfortunately though I think people need to get round that Latics are not considered a big draw by TV executives, and I would have thought as they will see viewing figures for games involving all the teams when they’re on, that there is some statistical justification for that.
As I’ve said on other similar threads in the past the TV companies aren’t charities aiming to be fair to all the teams in the football league, they are private companies aiming to maximise income & they’ll do that by getting as big a viewing figures as they can so they can charge more for the advertising during a game & more subscribers.
Like it or not, Burnley v Blackpool, QPR v Leicester & Leeds v Forest will go further towards achieving that objective than Latics v Reading & Burnley v Latics17 April 2014 at 6:52 pm #129965Burnley v Blackpool, are you sure taht this is a bigger draw?
