Who would ever have thought that Latics could sell out their allocation for Newcastle yet Newcastle couldn’t sell out for the trip to New Springfield.
Yes we know they had 4 times more at Wigan than we will have at Gallowgate and it’s a Saturday and that match was mid week but they were top of the league yet we are virtually doomed. Newcastle must also have thirty times the drawing power of Latics with dozens of satellite towns in the North East that have a bond with Newcastle and also thousands of exiles from the region who support Newcastle.
I just thought that is a fantastic show from the Loyal Latics but one that will be ignored by the media. Well done to you all.28 March 2017 at 10:50 pm #157313What was the allocation?
28 March 2017 at 10:59 pm #157314What was the allocation?7,500. :cheer:
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!28 March 2017 at 11:56 pm #157318Cracking effort then. Hopefully you can dent their promotion push!
29 March 2017 at 12:13 am #157319Barring a miracle on our side we won’t be enjoying 4700 Black Cats at Wigan next season. Sunderland are looking as doomed as us.
29 March 2017 at 12:16 am #157320Newcastle fans support their team through thick and thin .
It hurts the fans more than the greedy players, owners and know they’ve no right to believe they should be in the premier league because they’re a ‘big club’.
Respect given.29 March 2017 at 12:34 am #157321Hardly a sell out,the away end holds 3000+ we’ve sold 1200 in one section but still a good turn out for a small club doomed.
29 March 2017 at 12:52 am #157322What defines a ‘small’ club? What defines a ‘big’ club?
29 March 2017 at 1:19 am #157324What defines a ‘small’ club? What defines a ‘big’ club?erm…….size!
29 March 2017 at 1:30 am #157325erm…of what?
29 March 2017 at 1:47 am #157326Just wondering if we would have sold the full allocation if the previous coach would have still been at the helm?
Fuck the EFL
29 March 2017 at 2:11 am #157327Just wondering if we would have sold the full allocation if the previous coach would have still been at the helm?We might have sold a few rows.
29 March 2017 at 11:57 am #157328It’ll be like the Man Utd game – fans seeing this as a last chance for a long time to be visiting stadiums like this for a game in front of over 50,000.
Soon we’ll have to rely on winning two League/FA Cup ties to even have a sniff of playing at the likes of Newcastle.
I bet we haven’t sold out for Ipswich on Tuesday night though!
29 March 2017 at 3:30 pm #157334We have actually, sold 7. Had to ask for another 4
30 March 2017 at 12:56 am #157344It’s a decent following considering, so made up. Should be a good atmosphere…. well, until we go behind
