What level of revenue does the club get from Latics TV ?
17 October 2020 at 2:57 pm #189754For an away game, not much. Think it was agreed that only the first 500 sales go to the away team. They get about 90% of each sale.

Wrong Egg mon..
Cowling said: “The way it works currently is that the home team keep all of the revenue for the tickets they sell through their own website and they also get the revenue for the first 500 that buy via the away team.
In essence, if 5000 Wigan fans buy a £10 stream for a home game, then £50,000 goes into WAFC’s coffers. If 5,000 Wigan fans buy a stream for an away game, then £45,000 goes into your coffers.
Either way, buy your stream through the club and not some dodgy foreign stream, where fuck all goes to your club.
17 October 2020 at 9:00 pm #189757Aye thats it. Got it the wrong way around.
18 October 2020 at 11:06 am #189758My main concern is what the money is being spent on, i’d hate to think we are lining the pockets of the admins, these parasites will be getting enough if ever we get the new owner malarkey over the line.
Fuck the EFL
18 October 2020 at 11:12 am #189759Did you not ask that question when you protested bullitt?
19 October 2020 at 7:01 am #189761The money from these subscriptions will be going towards the running costs of the club. Transfer window’s now closed and there’s no chance of flogging the last bits of family silver, so the club now has to generate enough money each month to meet its outgoings.
If you feel that you are still not comfortable with buying a Latics TV match pass and instead watch the game on free foreign streams, perhaps give the £10 to the supporters’ club appeal instead?
19 October 2020 at 12:09 pm #189763Can I try to explain how it happens at the moment.
Firstly the revenue doesn’t go to administrators.
The revenue as it has been explained to me is as follows.
Home and away team looks at what the estimated amount of travelling fans would be had it been live at the stadium. The home side would then get the home sales plus whatever the away estimate was. The away team would get all their sales less the amount agreed on what the estimated away following would have been.
So if Latics play Leeds say, we have 7,000 fans watching the stream for a home game, we get it all (I think the cut is about £8ish of the £10). Leeds would bring 5,000 to Wigan, so we would get that amount from the away team, they would get the 40,000 – 5,000 as revenue.
Wigan travelling to Blackpool, would take 2,000. So Blackpool would keep all their own home sales, plus 2,000 of Wigan’s. Latics would keep 5,000 sales if all 7,000 that watched the Leeds game tuned in to this.
Hope that makes sense?
So in a nutshell, the more people that watch the stream, the more revenue goes into our coffers, home or away.
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

Strange thing to do when you’re a Sunderland supporter, or have they upset you now and you’ve sacked them off?
