You gonna stick it on your mantelpiece bullitt? No need for it this season with no bar or travel
31 October 2020 at 7:08 am #189824I asked the question a while back as to why the Supporters Club dont show the game and charge entry (thus getting 100% of the revenue) and was told by Egg that is wasnt allowed.

It appears that games are being shown at the SOL banqueting facility as long as Govt guidelines are met. Is a similar arrangement not possible at the DW?
31 October 2020 at 8:17 am #189825I didn’t say it wasn’t allowed. The costs to do it however are astronomical. It isn’t a case of paying £10 to show it. Similar to a pub ordering a box office event, it is a pretty hefty 4 figure sum.
The club used to do this for midweek games and lost money every single time and that was when they could have a full capacity in the bar as opposed to around 50%

Fair enough Egg. I’m not sure how much it costs for the club to put on a beamback, but I thought any profit would be better than no profit.
Stu – Its a beautiful morning in my part of the world today. Hope your grapes arent too sour this morning after last nights bullying….

As I said though, we have never previously maee a profit from it so probably wouldn’t this time and one thing we can’t afford is a financial loss.

Not bad, only took six games and two years to cheat their way to a win!

3 November 2020 at 6:54 pm #189883Some of the Premier League clubs are streaming their games in Cinemas. The Irony that a Cinema screen can host 200 fans indoors watching the game when we aren’t allowed any fans in an outdoor stadium
