Well that puts paid to that one . £35 Adults and £24 for my young teenage son?. Prem prices at a Championship club.
They should return the favor and see how many of their regular 80,000 travelling army of fans come to Wigan.
If our club doesn’t do something about this they want raggin30 September 2016 at 8:55 pm #151147Exactly the same 2 years ago at Leeds i didn’t go then in protest and i wont be going again this time.
Enough is enough, especially after the shenanigans of the the last couple of days with Allardyce and the other greedy bastards!

30 September 2016 at 10:26 pm #151149Twenty is plenty anywhere and even more so at all the Premier League clubs.
30 September 2016 at 11:31 pm #151151Only one way to stop these rip off prices, stop paying it.

Especially after having to watch that yawn a minute fest of anti football shite on Tuesday.
1 October 2016 at 5:28 pm #151160Unfortunately we as a Club cannot do anything about. We, like all Clubs, publish prices at the beginning of the season and we have to stick to them.
The argument is that outside the Premier League, gate receipts are much bigger percentage of the clubs income. So prices have to be in line with operating costs.
Leeds, having been outside the Premier League for so long still have high costs and not many ways to get the cash in to cover them.
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

Reasonable arguments are no good on here Jayt, some fans can’t look past the extra dollars.
I don’t agree with it one bit, but fully understand the reasoning behind it.From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!2 October 2016 at 12:15 am #151169Due to work commitments, I go to away games when I can and I quite fancied this one, but I think I will be now giving it a miss now by choice. Some clubs need to remember Football was a working class game, don’t price the working class out.
2 October 2016 at 12:36 am #151170Each to their own, but everybody’s circumstances are different. It would cost me £75 to go with my two, absolutely no chance! Football is / should be about the fans, and £35 is far too much to watch a game of footy.
2 October 2016 at 1:30 am #151174Aye. Especially when there’s not one class player on the pitch!
2 October 2016 at 4:31 am #151177Aye. Especially when there’s not one class player on the pitch!I tell you what was on the pitch today that I saw, the team I proudly support. Class players they might not be, but wear the Latics colours they did. Well done boys, great gritty performance. :cheer:

What a journey!2 October 2016 at 1:17 pm #151179Leeds average about 20k home supporters so they are one of the better supported teams in the efl so gate receipts won’t be a problem or will they?
I also don’t see many big names in that squad so again the wage bill will hardly be a crippling one surely ?
I have a simple policy with away games if the price is above 25 quid I won’t go end of as I don’t think the standard of football is worth it.
Football isn’t like a concert it the theatre you are not guaranteed entertainment and also always annoys me when they try to charge similar prices.
Don’t go and hopefully young dave and jj will return the favour to them next May with similar prices .2 October 2016 at 1:34 pm #151181Don’t go and hopefully young dave and jj will return the favour to them next May with similar prices .People keep saying this. We can’t. It’s not allowed. Clubs (a) cannot charge away fans more than home fans, and (b) have to charge the same as similar accomodation provided for home fans.
Leeds were able to charge £35 because that’s what their home fans pay in that stand. To be honest it’s them you should feel sorry for, as they are the ones being ripped off week in week out, but that’s their battle. They still pay it.
Away fan revenue is not a big factor in club financing, so they aren’t bumping up prices just to annoy the members of Cockney Latic messageboard. They are their prices, and we have to charge our prices. No argument.
As has been said – if you don’t like the prices, then don’t pay them.
34.2.5 Each Club shall, not later than 30 June prior to the commencement of the following Season, provide to The League a ground/zone plan together with associated ticket prices (‘Pricing Plan’). The Pricing Plan shall be accompanied by the Club’s ground registration form.

34.2.7 A Club may not depart from the Pricing Plan without the prior consent of the relevant Away Club. In the event that the Home Club and Away Club are unable to reach agreement the dispute shall be referred to The League whose decision shall be final and binding.
