9 December 2014 at 9:22 pm #136683When you consider the quality of the view and the stand that is an absolute joke.
Shit like that is what’s wrong with football.
9 December 2014 at 9:26 pm #136684I really hope we take no fans at all because anyone who pays them prices deserve to be ripped off
10 December 2014 at 12:22 am #136692Shame on them !
Slowly but ever so surely falling out with the game!10 December 2014 at 1:08 am #136695We should have a small section in our empty seat areas where we charge £50 a ticket, so we can do them when they come here
Those brainless pricks would pay it any road

10 December 2014 at 2:11 am #136700No problem with people not wanting to go. Nobody is going to tell me I shouldn’t go and slag me off for if I do. Which is what I believe has been happening on social media tonight.
I was more than likely not going – I must just change my mind now

Not seen anybody getting slagged off, just seen people trying to organize a boycott

That’s not what I’ve tried to achieve with that article Griff. It would be great if we could get a united effort to make a statement here, but if people feel that’s not the right thing to do then it’s their call. There will always be people who overstep the mark, but the core point remains – clubs are taking the mick and will continue to until fans make it clear they’re not having it anymore.
10 December 2014 at 3:54 am #136707Yes, £24 is a ridiculous price to ask.
10 December 2014 at 3:55 am #136708I’m gonna make my stand by buying an under 16’s ticket for 18 dabs, donning a Jimmy Krankie school uniform, wig and shimmying in on my knees with a pair of pumps attached to them. fek um!

No, I’m sure you weren’t, and i wasn’t getting at you. In fact, I’ll be honest, I hadn’t even read your article (sorry) when I posted. I was reacting to some comments I’d seen on Facebook and Twitter in which people were apparently being criticised for “breaking the boycott”.
As I said, no issue whatsoever with people who decide not to go on principle. Don’t see why it should be Wigan Athletic fans who take this whole pricing issue all upon themselves and any effect will diluted by those who – quite rightly, if they choose to – will still want to pay the (ridiculous and scandalous) ticket price and go.
10 December 2014 at 2:14 pm #136717There is the issue of course of the team then playing in a hostile environment with no/little support.
Would you wonder then if they said “why bother?”
10 December 2014 at 4:00 pm #136728Would you wonder then if they said “why bother?”From Saturday’s performance our team must all be related to Mystic Meg.
