Question……..What league will Wigan Athletic be playing in next season ? Ans …Championship……Played losing football that was pleasing to watch. Yes Sillyford your man Roberto REALLY has taken us down and now he’s grabbed the parachute because “He doesn’t feel equipped to take Wigan back into the premier league “……….couldn’t have put it better myself.

It was inevitable that Wigan would get relegated at some point, I find it quite remarkable that Martinez managed to string it out for another four seasons.

Still won an FA CUP along the way something you cant take away from his time here (I am sure you will try).
I am not bitter about being relegated and as Griff points out its been half expected for a long time.
In fact considering you have been saying all season that he will take us down you would think you were quite prepared for it and not come across so offended by the situation.
Anyway I am prepared to let all this crap go now as I want to be able to look forward to the new regime with an open mind.
You never know this time next year I could be the darksider and you could be defending someones work.

i really thought bob was that loyal he would have given it one more year to get us back up after it was his team that got us where we are now,
now we could be left deep in the brown stuff players leaving
not botherd about the coaching side they can feck off too with him we need a quality manager and not a pulis or mcarthy type

Don’t be daft, one of the reasons we were on the light side is because we have been anticipating releagtion for eight years and were quite amazed that someone managed to avoid it for four years whilst operating unde rthe constraints that he did, developed the club as he has and – behind our surgically placed eyeshields – played football that was pleasing to watch.
