Cant believe the ticket prices for visit of Liverpool (monday night live on telly) £28-30 for adults and £20 for kids that arent members, crazy

I know shocking a mate of mine who’s a thugby fan was planning on taking himself and his kid decided not to go now
6 March 2010 at 12:34 am #25345My missus has started coming with me to every game, I don’t have a season ticket due to my work and to fork out £60 for 2 of us when I subscribe to ESPN and it’s a Monday night is ridiculous, I’d like to go and wouldn’t think twice at £40 but £60 takes the pee, I’ll be surprised if there’s 17500 on.
6 March 2010 at 12:38 am #25346Liverpool will bring plenty and it’s not that expensive compared with other Premier League clubs.
Should be around 20,000 on in my opinion.6 March 2010 at 12:44 am #25347Liverpool will bring plenty and it’s not that expensive compared with other Premier League clubs.
Should be around 20,000 on in my opinion.only given Liverpool just under 4000 tickets so i reckon maybe 18000 tops
6 March 2010 at 12:50 am #25350Said it many times. I can’t usually defend our “missing” fans but although Monday’s game isnt expensive by PL standards, I do think the prices should have been somewhere between £20 + £25 and although probably getting membership for a kid is quick and cheap, for non-members £20 is ridiculous.

Latics still rely on season tickets rather than walk up.What about the people in the town who’ll turn out to see the bindippers play?
You really think only 14,000 Latics fans will go?6 March 2010 at 3:48 am #25402Liverpool will bring plenty and it’s not that expensive compared with other Premier League clubs.

ps Everton aren’t Liverpool.
6 March 2010 at 4:06 am #25404The wigan v everton attendance was 16,869 and if wigan ath had 11,000 fans that means everton had 5,869 fans…..

True, this still Wigan though, where £30 is hard to find for some, if I wanted to take my wife and kids tomorrow it would cost £100, in general our prices are reasonable but I think £30 will prove too greedy to encourage people to turn out on a Monday night for a game that’s on tv.
6 March 2010 at 4:08 am #25406The wigan v everton attendance was 16,869 and if wigan ath had 11,000 fans that means everton had 5,869 fans…..With their fans in our end that’s about right. How many Latics season ticket holders are there ?

The everton end wasnt full!!!!!!!!!!![/quote]They sold their allocation a week before kick off, that’s why I had them all around me in the West, jumping up and down when they scored and the Police and Stewards were happy to let them.(some Stewards did chuck a few out, to be fair)

Good question.
Like I said, Latics depend on good season ticket sales. The walk up is minimal. -
