I’m not saying the prices are dear lad i’m just saying we dont have the fan base to fill the stadium plus it’s on tv plus my mate wanted to take his kid it would of cost him nearly £50 .understand the fact their lad

I know BUT it is cheap to be fair. Because they have a bigger fan base, it doesn’t mean people find it more affordable and doesn’t mean their fans have more money, but people still go. So people still should when the prices are at a good rate like they are for Wigan. Tell ya mate open his wallet and stop being a tight-wad

ManUtd get 60k a week

They will do wont they when they are going for trophys every season plus a bigger fan base than we have think about lad

Dont know why you posted that. It doesn’t back your argument up. You were saying it was expensive at the DW, but compared to utd etc it’s cheap. The games at the dw are affordable. Just because Man Utd are pushing for trophies every year doesn’t mean that people miraculously have a bigger income. They probably have the same income as the average person, and pay to watch utd, which is a lot dearer than watching Wigan. We can’t complain about the price. LAD
It is easily affordable to a single lad and in comparison to other clubs it’s very good value, in reality though for me to take my wife and two kids it would be £100 – or I can stay home and watch it on ESPN which I’m subscribed to, thus keeping £100 in my pocket to spend on an alternative hour and a half’s entertainment.

We can’t complain about the price in some ways James but many will simply choose not to go !

See Birmingham, Sunderland and even Fulham attendances to see if price really matters.
Dont go with the wife and kids. Go on your own. Or people can pay for themselves, therefore you will be paying the 30 quid for the ticket (and pay for kids of course). Or don’t take kids?

A season ticket costs £250 works out at £13 odd a match the walk ons on Monday have to pay close on £30 and kids who dont have a season ticket £20 that is why you will not get many walk ons on Monday

I might be going on my own, now you’re getting it James £30 = 1 Wigan fan, a £50 family ticket = 4 Wigan fans getting behind the team and filling our empty stadium.

Dave Whelan has much more business know how than me though, so I have to accept the price or not go.

@ Thtytwoyears – Well maybe the price of tickets/ Season tickets will get more people to purchase season tickets?

And also @Thtytwoyears… No, I didn’t get a kids or student. As im not U19 neither am I a student. Arse

Still, with the cheapest season tickets in the league and many not willing to pay 30 quid on the day there needs to be a big push on season tickets next season. The aim has to be around 15,000 and is very achievable with the right marketing.

Definately, the 3 games for £30 might not be something they can do every week but the attendances against unfashionable teams show that it works, there has to be a happy medium somewhere.

                            Do you mean HAS??
If they do a family (Lets say of 4) … What about people who only have family’s of 3. If you are going to make it £50 for family of 4 ticket, and It is £30 for a ticket for 1 adult. What happens for a family of 3? Cant make it say £40… Because if it’s 30 for one person and 40 for 3 people… In business terms…That’s idiotic.

                              £40 for 2 adults
£5 per additional child before you bring a family of 5 into play.

Agreed up untill this season there was hardly any existance of a latics commercial department and it pains me to say it but we are miles behind the rugby in this department .But as you say it needs a big push on season tickets next season maybe the dearest ones at £295 are a lot to pay out at once I know you can pay by direct debit at £60 plus a month but maybe it could be spread over a little longer
