situation for Barrow, JJ, DS, THE the players, the backroom staff today.

Whatever the result, the moanalots will be out in force come 5pm.

If we lose, “not good enough, we will be banished to the lower leagues forever, sack the board, public birching for JJ and Dave jnr”.etc.

If we draw [ refer to above]

If we win ” not good enough, Rotherham are shyte, they are already relegated, we could have got a team out of the Brick to beat um” then [refer to the above.]

Enjoy your day boys, see you at 5pm or there abouts.

Gilks probably our best performer of late….Dropped.

Power pile of shit all season in again.
          Morsy….dropped again
          Hanson,been useless…..plays
Our only fit forward, …on the bench
Obertan, stunk the pitch out whenever he was selected…….plays

Don’t be fooled by that win.

            Terrible performance. Wrong team selection.

Crap squad of players, crap manager. Why Hanson is picked….I have no idea. Best midfielder we have, Morsy, dropped.

Starting to HATE going to games. So much is wrong with the club.

            Fook!! Not you again.

Vat69! Do you think anyone is happy with what has gone on this season. I could predict that 100% of our fans are not happy. Its been a bad season. Sometimes, these do happen to football clubs – not just wigan. Support a club through the good times & bad!!!!!

And, as i said in my post on another thread to which i replied to you vat69, i came straight from work, which didn’t finish until 3pm. I could have thought stuff it! But no. I came straight down to the match. Why??? I love supporting my club, thats why! I will do the same next season as well if/when we are in league 1. Why?? Because i love supporting my club.

And i for one hate it when i cant get to games (like thursday night) because of work.

Good for you. But if you are happy with that….win aside, we were crap again, then….well, that’s up to you. The first 25 mins you missed we were misjointed as ever with passes going into touch. We never troubled them at all. Shocking.

I’m giving our last couple of home games a miss now, for my own sanity really. I lost it today at the game, and could easily have got arrested. When it’s affecting you like that, maybe a break is for the best.

I’m not fooled, it’s a hollow victory against an experimental Rotherham side…and we bloody struggled against them. I actually think we are worse than we realise. This squad would struggle in league one. I hope to God the club make the right decisions in the summer, some bold moves, not born out of cronyism or jobs for the boys, mentality. I’m not bothered what players stay or go…any can for me. It requires major surgery, this, and the right man to do it.

I don’t get the team selection, and I don’t know why we are starting games with loan players. Get bloody shut and try and get players in who will be here in August. Get them bedded in now!

We’ve won a game. But it means nothing.

              #157731

Yes we were awful at times today and strange team selections. That’s why we need a total clear out and start again with the coaching staff.

We were behind twice to by far the worst team in the division.

BUT we won and what I would give now for a couple of ugly wins earlier in the season. We’ve said often enough it’s a results business and I’ll take an ugly win over an “unlucky” defeat anytime.

              Really, lad.
Go and support someone else. You keep threatening to go “back” to supporting Everton, or whoever. If you miss the last few games, we don’t care.
Do it please. Go and support a “better” team. I’ve supported you a number of times in the past, but you really are pushing buttons now.
You are constantly negative, constantly carping, constantly complaining about this that or the other.
Yes, we have had a bad, nay abysmal, season. But that’s par for the course with Latics. It’s what you sign up to. We have had good times too. These things are cyclical. The true supporters (and don’t tell me how you were at Hartlepool in 1902), stick by the club. We may not be happy. But we will still be there, not only for the next few games, but also next season.
Don’t tell us what a great fan you are, but “you’re not going the next few games”.
Either stick with us, and get behind whoever and whatever, or just go elsewhere.

As leyland has just said, give me an ugly win anyday over an unlucky defeat.

Im concerned for you vat69. Football is meant to be a hobby, past-time, an escapism from work. If its affecting you in that way then i worry for your health.

As i have said elsewhere, i am not happy with how this season has gone. I hate it when we lose. But, regardless of the result, i soon get over it. I have far more important things in life to worry about. The health & wellbeing of my family. My job security etc, etc. NOT a game of football FFS!

BTW, you dont sit towards the back of E6 do you???

Don’t misquote me George. I’ve never said that. I’ve never ever supported Everton. I’ve had a season ticket at Latics since 1986…you know that. You once bought a signed 1987 team photo off me!

Read my comment on the other thread….maybe you’ll see where I’m coming from. My anger is that we could….and should be so much better. There’s been a slight improvement since Joyce went and Barrow came in, I’ll admit that. But what does this say about Joyce? What WAS he playing at? We’re they playing hop scotch in training sessions? And ultimately, he was given too much time by the powers that be. Had we acted 2 or 3 weeks sooner, we may have had a chance. That’s what grates me.

I am going to miss these last 3 games, simply because I don’t want to lose my rag again, like I did today and had to leave, and I don’t want to fall out with folk who.sit near me, as was starting today. I think that’s being sensible George, don’t you? It’s not wanting to miss the games, but maybe it’s for the best in this particular instance.

Maybe I just want better for the club. To defend tight, if an opponent is to score, make them blooming work for it! I can take losing, I can take losing goals. But not the way we have done this season. Elements of that game today were Sunday league esque. Going forward, maybe Bogle and Grigg will be on fire next season, I don’t know. Who knows?

But before you attack me for being honest and speaking my mind, just consider that maybe I am so upset…because I care. That’s all. We can be so much better, and that’s what hurts most.

                  No.i don’t.

To be fair, it’s been a long time since I’ve got so wound up about football.or Latics. As you say, it pales into insignificance compared to health and family, etc. I couldn’t agree more.

I think I’ve bit my lip at matches all season and today, for whatever reason, I snapped. Their first goal was an utter joke though, watch it….I’m sure you’ll agree. I absolutely exploded at it.

It’s just a constant shambles…and so many just sit there and take it. Many other clubs fans would be going crazy at what we’ve had to endure this season. Dare the club try and start peddling season tickets for next season….ha ha….their silence on the matter shows their embarrassment at how we have performed. They bloody well know!

I took a photo of the East stand at 5 to 3 today. Never been as empty in a long time. A scorching Saturday? Terrible.

Roll.on Bristol Rovers away. Nigel Pearson blue and white army!!!! (Being positive)

                  #157746

Dave, I think it’s the ‘I’m not going again’ comment that George finds most irritating. Yes you might have been a Latics fan since the 80s, but ever since I’ve known you via forums etc, it seems we’ve had at least one ‘I’m not going again’ threat per season!

Yes it’s been crap this season. Nobody disputes that. I’ve also paid for my eldest lad and his mate to come to at least half a dozen home games this season and three away games and today is the first time they’ve seen us score!

They were buzzing. But they’ve also enjoyed being there for every game we’ve drawn or lost.

And that’s the point. Remember when you used to love going to games, and it was a bit shit when we lost, but you still wouldn’t have missed it for the world?

Well that’s what I see with my lad. I sit with my mates. He sits a few rows away with his. He reacts like I used to when I was his age and he’ll be hooked too – if he isn’t already.

I still enjoy meeting for a pre match pint, walking to the ground, and half time pint and dissection of the game. If you’ve forgotten all of that – that’s when it becomes too serious, and then the result of the match grows out of all proportion.

Try and think back to when it used to be fun; that’s my advice.

Vat! We won. We have a squad that under the right coaching staff that could piss league one next season so let’s see what unwinds.
We are all frustrated with everything you say but we will be there like 1800 or so of us less the deceased were not too long ago.
It isn’t surprising we are shit though. It’s a different team every week that turns out and communication at times explaining why players are not there needs to be improved. Playing players out of position or out of form seriously needs addressing too. Why Sam Morsy comes back looks good as an attacking midfielder then is played as a deep midfielder and isn’t as effective is just madness. The relegation has been an orchestrated example of mis-managed chaos yes but it won’t stop us going. Have a drink Vat Mon and chill and just look forward to the friendlies in July.
I can’t wait for the new season and this shite one hasn’t even finished yet.
