Latest news has it that David Cameron’s government have been in direct contact by letter with the Thatcher family, in order to offer condolences and keep abreast of developments.
“We offer our deepest condolences at this time. However, it has also come to our attention that you now have an unused bedroom due to new legislation….”
It has been announced that thatchers corpse will be thrown down one of the pits she closed and a public toilet built on top of it charging £5 a shit. Funds raised are expected to clear the national debt by Friday lunch.
The Premier League have not enforced black arm bands or a minutes silence tonight. Please dont let the FA enforce it this weekend. The irony would be unbelivable to say the least.
Her death is not much of a surprise and I know what she meant to a lot of people.
But please remember she was still a person and show a bit of respect and not post loads of vile messages.
I’ll show her the same respect she showed me, one of her ‘enemy within’. Rot in hell.
can see it now
min silence begins , then a almighty roar of maggie out maggie out maggie maggie maggie out out out
from the wigan fans
that would surly light up the faces of the old ones who lost their way of life because of this criminal
and if my father hears it while watching tv then him like many more from wigan and sorounding areas will have the last laugh
In fear of starting a ‘debate’, do people genuinely believe that this country could have kept a mining industry, paid the miners what the unions were demanding, keep prices competitive with China and other emerging nations AND turned a profit from it?
Just asking because a lot of people seem to be blaming her for the demise of the industry.
1. Was it not a deteriorating sector that had it’s end coming long before Thatcher got to power?
2. Is it not a good thing that we don’t send our kids down the mines anymore?
I’m far from a Thatcherite, I disagree with the way in which she went about getting quite a lot of things, not to mention the poll tax. I just refuse to buy into this hate campaign created by the extreme left wing.
Take a look at your life and your house at this moment in time. Would you be able to afford your current lifestyle if things hadn’t have changed?

Blimey, tin hat territory there, fella! Good luck!

If there is going to be a minutes silence, I’m going to have a carton of milk that I will hold up high in protest.
She took mine off me, when I was 6 and she stopped milk for schools.

40 minutes and still no responses coming your way. Either, the responses are so long and hate filled that they’re taking a long time to write, or … they’re all just gathering down the end of your road.

That’s all good and well but at what price?
She gambled the lives of families all over the country for the sake of the economy.
The economy didn’t pay for my overpriced house or the ridiculous amount of deposit I needed to buy a 2 bedroom terraced house that was built 100 years ago originally for *drum roll please* THE MINERS!!!!!
What built my house 100 years ago was the working class and what pays for it now is my working class upbringing not a massive upturn in the economy sending my rich daddies savings through the roof!
Best comments of the day I have seen are ” you wouldn’t have these lazy people milking benefits if thatcher wad around today ”
Bollox she sent families all over the country into generations of unemployment but it wasn’t an upturn in the economy that put food on the tables was it.
People need to take the daily mail out of their arse and realise the benefit system is there to protect you through the rough times and by the time Cameron has done the people throwing their toys out the pram today coz they work full time will be the people with no state pension, no NHS and no sick pay when they are 60 riddled with cancer and arthritis because they have been working all there life to sustain the riches lifestyle of massive private pension funds , perfect private healthcare and a life of luxury doing fuck all 5 days a week while the minions pick up the shit.
