Zizkov would be yet another ‘local’ game for Maribor.
From Prague (Czech), through Vienna (Austria) to Maribor (Slovenia). A six hour drive – similar to the journey to Brugge.
Maybe that is where I have miss heard, they might have said the crowd was only 6,500 rather than the away following.
Some Maribor supporter on wiganer.net in the days following the game, said that the away allocation is 694.
Whether Latics get offered any more I guess could depend on how Maribor get on in the games between now & then. If Latics beat em next week (not saying they will, just “if”) & they don’t get on too well in their double header with Zulte then they could have next to no chance of progressing. That being the case then (looking at the TV footage of their game with Rubin last week – where 1 end had no-one in it, the stand the cameras were opposite was two thirds full & likewise with the section behind teh other goal) I would imagine that there will be little enough demand for home tickets, for them to be able to offer Latics the entire end that was completely empty last week. Judging from the noise when Rubin scored I don’t think they took that many
If however they can qualify by beating/drawing with Latics then I’d imagine that there would be enough demand from home supporters for them not to have to consider doing that.I think it might be wise of Latics to start taking declarations of interest from supporters wanting to go so that they/we can get some sort of handle on how many are considering going as at present we’ve no idea how many have already booked with LMB’s trip, the stop over one on this thread & independently like me
To be honest if the attendance last week was an indication of how many they are likely to have on for our game I don’t think tickets will be too hard to get hold of – whether they’re in the away section or not is another matter
Last time I spoke to Barry off Vital he said take up was good on the charter plane.
The last time I spoke to Joanne at thetravelpuzzle.com she had booked 43 flying into Budapest, 34 Lubljana, 11 Vienna, 40 Zagreb…. but she said she has around 80 more ‘umming and ahhing’.
Thing is, flights are going to get dearer the longer people wait Budapest is a 4 hour coach ride away but flights are less than £100. We got Zagreb for £110ish but we wanted to go for three full days/2 nights, you can get 1 night with flights for £190 from London or £260 from Manchester (flying to Zagreb) – I think Joanne is running out of hotel rooms in the City Centre, I know a couple of guys have booked with her and are staying nearer to the ski slopes (about 3km away).
I have a feeling those that hand on will be paying a lot more, but I guess some want to wait and see if there is anything to play for.
In short I reckon over 250 have ALREADY sorted Maribor out.

I have just added 9 more places to the trip I have organised, 3 have already gone.
If anyone wants to come along, let me know, we leave early Weds 11th, return late Fri 13th, two nights hotel, transfers on both sides (flying London to Zagreb).

Joanne at http://www.thetravelpuzzle.com has told me that there very limited hotel rooms in the centre now, she has only got around 23 left (out of the last 125 she blocked out).
If you are still on about going she has room in the Pirimida and Athena still, £90pp double/twin, £110 single, for two nights (she has one night options as well)including transfers to and from airport (Ljubljana/Zagreb/Graz, though others are available but you would need to ask for costs as they are further away eg Budapest, Vienna etc).
