In one article it said there was £30 million to be available. More than i thought but you still have to be able to attract the right player and most of that ilk want Champions League football.

I just hope they haven’t got St Mirren in pre season. :S

its only recently that liverpool have fired their managers quickly, they were generally given a decent shot.

I believe Dalglish would most certainly have been given another season in charge if it weren’t for his mis-handling of the Suarez affair and liabilty in dealing with the media. What Martinez lacks in experience is most certainly offset by his expertise in dealing with the media.

If he goes it wont be the end of the World ! He had a 3 year plan and he delivered the goods albeit at the last minute but all will not be lost if we can keep the majority of the players that clicked because credit does go to those just as much as it does the manager, if not more !! Lets just say he goes and the new guy takes us higher ! Bob will get the praise ! If the new guy has us finishing 15th or lower the majority of fans will say Bob would have done better, but are either of those scenarios right ? Brendan Rodgers has his plaudits but I have heard some Wigan fans claim that Swansea’s success is all down to Bob !! I guess the point I am making is if he goes now it wont make any difference to us !

What I want to know is, what exactly do they ask in the interview?

They already know what he’s done, they know how he carries himself, they know that he’s qualified.

The only questions I can see that gives them any idea if he’s the right man for the job is……..

What would be your plan to make Liverpool a force in the premier league, what ideas do you have that you would implement with our support to give us success in the next few years?

Well why the fuck would a manager that is contracted to another club in the same league, give another club all his ideas, with only a chance that he will get the job?

Bollocks I say, bollocks to em, the fans are completely deluded, reading their forum is hilarious, there’s one with a list of 5 attributes which basically says that they have to be Kenny Dalglish! He’s the reason you’re in this mess you retards, him and the other one you want back the fat waiter!

It will take alot longer than 6 months to turn that squad into world beaters, and no manager except Kenny, rafa, paul McCartney, John Lennon, bobby grant, jimmy tarbuck, or cilla black would be given any more than 6 months if they weren’t in the top 4

Surprise Surprise……………….the unexpected hits you between the eyes…………you’ve been shit for years and you will be for quite a while longer!!!

You self important, work dodging, drug dealing, trackie wearing, salt of the earth(chortle), living in the past, deluded, retarded frickin minutes silence addicted set of twats.

And don’t say Calm down…..calm down, they get on my tits ;)

The irony is that Liverpool are miles away from ever being a force again in the Premiership, whichever manager is in charge.

I think that this summarises things rather well.

Err, since when was his 3 year plan to narrowly escape relegation every year for 3 years?
Didn’t Bob talk about top 10 finishes and Europe when he first joined?

Certainly not a case of job done – in fact I think the job had only just started.

Despite concern when we first got him and ambivalence about him remaining when we were not performing, I am now concerned that his departure will send us back to square one. No guarantee that a new coach will stick to the same philosophy.

Even if Bob stays there are no guarantees that this recent form will stay with us come August, esp. as the ultra-hyping of our 3-4-3 means that we no longer have the element of surprise.

Well said that man, he still has a big job on his hands at the DW which will prove how good a manager he is. And IMO he does owe Wigan Athletic and Dave Whelan some loyalty as he would have been sacked at any other club.

Long time since I’ve been a member of CL but Roberto’s probable departure has prompted me to re-join and post.

My thinking is this. He has genuinely been moved by the support he and the club have received this season. Now is the time for one last big push to try and keep him. I’ve just been on TNS to say the same thing: bombard the club with messages of support for him and try and persuade him to stay. You know, it might just tip the balance if he’s in any doubt at all.

                      Let him feel the love!

What I meant was he said he had a 3 yr plan and in my opinion it has taken him the full 3 yrs to put it in place ! The foundations are in place now and if he goes I think the next guy will adopt the same logic ( Think Swansea ) That is what the chairman should demand ! RM only laid the foundations at Swansea and Rodgers took it to the next level and so if he does go the same should apply here !
I was in no way saying that RM has done a job, he has merely started one !!
