No, he was calmness personified. He regaled us with stories of his visit to see Barcelona beat Bayer Leverkusen the other week but other than that was very quiet.
He has had some domestic issues to deal with recently, I believe. He doesn’t seem to have been bothered by too many salads though, to be honest ;)

The trouble with VAT69 was that he wore his heart on his sleeve and would go into major meltdown quite often ! I thought I had seen Griff on the photo of meeting but Bob was in the way. I thought ” Surly he hasn’t turned up in a replica shirt ” ! So Griff was it ?
I thought that too (about the replica shirt) – but it’s an Adidas shirt, so if it’s a replica it must be an old un (says he, sat wearing a Latics sweatshirt :) )
