That would be a relatively cheap way to sort out this once proud and progressive club.
Seen enough now….watching Latics is like watching paint dry.
7 January 2012 at 10:18 pm #77250Solution: Don’t watch then.
7 January 2012 at 10:26 pm #77265I think too many have already taken that option Duke.
7 January 2012 at 10:33 pm #77274Fair point, but nobody’s forcing anyone to watch. If you don’t enjoy, don’t put yourself through it. Life’s too short.
8 January 2012 at 5:12 am #77458Thanks for the advice Duke…..forgive me if I treat it with the contempt it deserves.
Losing to Swindon doesn’t bother me one bit, I’ve seen us do it before…but to loose in that fashion, totally out played for much of the game is just unforgiveable.
Martinez is totally out of his depth. His style of play is so easy to figure out and he won’t/can’t change it.
His efforts in the transfer market by and large have been woeful, largely proven today.
He has survived on playing on fans loyalty from times gone by and by pushing his luck on a handful of wins.
It’s clear Whelan has totally lost interest as Martinez feet wouldn’t have touch 3 or 4 seasons ago (The 6 mill on Boselli alone would have done for him).So for all these posters who keep going on about how far we’ve come, I’d say this, we’ve stopped going forward, we stopped about 2 years ago, we’ve been falling off the pace since. There is no need for it.

Up the Tics!I agree we have stopped going forward……..
……call me ‘old fashioned’ but there is no league above ours at the moment. Yick…..(mate) do you know something I don’t?
I would wager not.

Solution: Don’t watch then.I stopped going to live games because I was bored at the end of Bob’s first season. I’ve had no reason to regret that decision up to now. I thought he was a great player for us. He came with a great reputation as a young up-and-coming manager. Unfortunately we are now playing the most boring football I have ever seen in Wigan and we’re in the bottom 3 again and knocked out of the FA Cup by a 2nd division team. Thank’s Bobby but it’s time to go.

If we go down will this result hurt???? I was half expecting us to lose but the manner of the loss is a disgrace and I’m embarassed. We are still Premiership but only just and with this clown in charge I fear not for much longer.

The manner of the loss? 2-1 loss to a clearly offside goal. Hardly a rout.

No not a rout but could have been a lot worse, we were rubbish.
8 January 2012 at 3:56 pm #77533You’re right Griff, hardly a rout but it was a pathetic attempt to beat a Fourth Division team.
This result is worse than the Canvey Island defeat.8 January 2012 at 4:24 pm #77537You’re right Griff, hardly a rout but it was a pathetic attempt to beat a Fourth Division team.
This result is worse than the Canvey Island defeat.I disagree, the club wasn’t completely indifferent to the Canvey Island outcome whereas collectively, it wasn’t arsed about yesterday.
Yesterday was no worse or different to the recent Palace, Notts Co, Blackpool defeats in my book. No more unexpected either, in my opinion.
8 January 2012 at 4:36 pm #77540Never seen so much outpouring of grief since Princess Diana died.
8 January 2012 at 4:42 pm #77542Good Grief Griff, Micky, Rodallegabomb……it’s the FA cup we are talking about here. Everyone has become so accustomed to loosing that they just accept it.
Oh and Micky if I’ve spelled anything wrong, I don’t want to know to be honest.
