8 January 2012 at 4:56 pm #77549Good Grief Griff, Micky, Rodallegabomb……it’s the FA cup we are talking about here. Everyone has become so accustomed to loosing that they just accept it.
Oh and Micky if I’ve spelled anything wrong, I don’t want to know to be honest.
Martinez OUT

8 January 2012 at 7:12 pm #77587You’re right Griff, hardly a rout but it was a pathetic attempt to beat a Fourth Division team.
This result is worse than the Canvey Island defeat.Horc, why is this worse than canvey island defeat?

Apologies for the ‘cheapshot’ Yick…….
However, I’m getting the feeling that a new breed of supporter is contributing to the board.
Some people need to get over themselves.
Oh!…….some of these too goodpost goodpost (just for good measure).
8 January 2012 at 8:20 pm #77600I have followed this board for quite some time but have never joined in partly because of my inadequate 1 finger typing skills.I have finally taken the plunge mainly because of my beloved clubs precarious plight.I dont wish to be labelled dark/light sider but anyone who believes a drop to the championship would be beneficial should be sectioned under the 1974 mental health act !!I will not ramble on about the financial implications as im sure we all know this ,but just look at all those clubs with larger support crawling all over each other to get where we are.I hope we never have to find out but i fear we could vanish off the radar should we be relegated ,a pessemistic but wholly possible senario. As far as the on field performances during Robertos tenure go then a blunt summary would be abysmal.Statistics tell the story and if you want to manipulate these to defend him then that is your perogative.116 teams in all 4 divs and conference last season only brum scored less goals ,and as we stand the problem has not been addressed now the 116th lowest scoring team. Now before certain posters talk lack of funds i think you’ll find Scotland, bosselli, sammon,di santo, add up to a tidy sum with a combined stike rate of about 1 in 10 as for rodellega not quick, lightweight, disappears during games and poor finisher.Martinez is trying to get us playing like barcelona well im afraid you need barcelonas players for that .He is trying to play a style a football that is not productive with the crap he has brought in …Turd/Polish comes to mind.We overplay, pass it around in lovely triangles then nothing. He has continued to tell us how much possession we have and how we didnt get what we deserved, well we got exactly what we deserved . Arsenal at the end last season lost 2 away games at stoke and Bolton after having over 70% possession ,converting this into goals is the trick. Can anyone honestly say that Moses, habsi apart the rest have been anywhere near the standard required.League results 8-0,9-1…5-0’S akimbo, cup results like notts co,palace, swindon ,blackpool.I could ramble on all day quoting stat after stat the bottom line is ive had a 35 year hard slog to find this utopia and i refuse to give it up by lying down and have my belly tickled. This is now robertos team ,there can be no more sunderland ,swindons tough love is the only answer and Mr Whelan has really a simple decision to make now ……..If we are to go then i would rather it be under a new man who can galvanise us all and give us half a chance to continue confounding our numerous critics……..Thanks for reading,….coat on ..goodbye.
8 January 2012 at 8:25 pm #77601Fair do’s Micky. Apology accepted.

I’m still pro-Martinez, but I do however recognise a good post by someone who doesn’t share my view and who is clearly intelligent enough not to resort to the ‘clueless’, ‘imbecile’ and ‘Spanish One’ insults.
9 January 2012 at 3:55 am #77696fck in ell MR Brownbill, if you type with one finger then you have done very well.
9 January 2012 at 4:08 am #77699Thanks….I did start 6-15 pm yesterday..!!!
9 January 2012 at 1:10 pm #77727That would be a relatively cheap way to sort out this once proud and progressive club.Seen enough now….watching Latics is like watching paint dry.
There were plenty on here & on other Latics forums that wanted Alcaraz booted out of the club for spitting on a Wolves player.
So to replace Bobby with a self-confessed & unashamed fascist (i thought his fascist salute after scoring for Lazio in the Rome derby was a particularly nice touch)? No thanks – on this score I’d rather Latics got relegated than have Di Canio in charge -
