swain wasnt a bad manager considering he had nothing, hutching did no worse than martinez in his time, but we will go down this season but unlike some i think we will bounce back up, which in the long run if we did that season after season, we would have a bigger fan base because the excitement would be there season after season, just my opinion mind ;) ps got my retro shirt today with my 5% discount :)
No way will we bounce straight back up. Might even go down again. The ‘cream’ of our squad will leave.
How ironic, the introduction of the retro shirt as we regress as a club !! :)
getting ready for bury away again  but still think we will come straight back up via play offs, but u never know we may even still be in this league, by the way not the biggest martinez lover but didnt we roll over to big teams away from home all the time when jewell was in charge, :|

the cream will leave this window
I feel in your recent comments you would be very pleased to see the worst manager we have ever had depart our club.
Nope, not annoyed at all.
It’s clear he’s struggling, but so would anyone with the players we have and the financial constraints we have compared to other clubs.
And in any case, what is without doubt is that Whelan isn’t for getting rid so there isn’t much point getting annoyed.
Oh, by the way… Kenny Swain, Chris Hutchings. Just two names for you.
martinez has not been starved of funds in fact he was the ninth highest spender in the premier league in the last window and that includes undeclared amounts for de santo and alcaraz -the fact is he didnt spend it wisely.
blame whelan or the players if you like everbody has an opinion of who is the culprit, but the real reason for the mess at the moment is purely down to martinez being poor at his job and thats the bottom line.
i agree with you griff whelan wont get shut, but i also truly believe that martinez ranks along side the two ex managers you mention.
“We have 15 games where we know exactly what we have to do and we are excited about the challenge ahead, nothing else”.
Excited about the challenge !, oh my. If you have redundancies at work and your job is on the line you might want to now go out and tell people your excited about the challenge.
You dont have a problem anymore you have an opportunity. The flowers in your garden still smell wonderful. That team today was beaten before it even stepped out.
”After next Monday night (transfer window) we’ll know whether we (as a club) are up for the fight or not.”
That just about puts it all in a nutshell Griff.
absolutely spot on the white flag has been washed, pressed and is ready to wave
It seems to me that the transfer budget this season didn’t have any provision for January signings other than replacing any outgoings. It’s why we are hearing talk about a free/loan signing from Papua New Guinea and the return of McCarthy, Moses and Di Santo as the only ‘new blood’ we are likely to see.
Bottom line is that after four years of grimly hanging on, we finally have a team that simply is just not quite good enough to stay up.
Right again Griff we aint good enough and will probably go down finishing bottom as all the others are at least trying to bring in better players. But also we seem to have lost the ability to find decent players from overseas cheaply, Palacios, Valencia Rodders etc all came relatively unknown and made huge impacts. Have we stopped looking? For a few years there we seemed to unearth a few gems from football backwaters. Im still dreading the last day of this window. :(
