He is the way we play it. Had Bob discovered the 4-5-1 formation and showed it to the world the way we play it there would no longer be 4-5-1
Are you a children’s entertainer in your spare time?
Never good to laugh at your own jokes, particularly when they aren’t remotely amusing

But true, we stink playing 4-5-1 we don’t have the quality of players to play it in the Premier League. But Bob is so pig headed he would rather us go down playing it his way than may be give ourselves a chance trying something different.

This:
we don’t have the quality of players
being the salient point.
If we are shyte at keeping the ball, defending, creating chances, passing to each other and not being overrun with five in midfield, how on earth do you think we would cope with just four in there?
And would Hugo suddenly start shooting straight if he had somebody with him up front? No logical reason why he would.
And with 442, there are still four at the back, so the there is no reason why the tippy-tappy playing it out from the back that you all hate – and so do I actually when it’s overdone, but incidentally we have hardly done it all in the last two and a half games – would suddenly stop.
Yep, I would love to see Bobby try a different formation from time to time, and I have said that consistently. I have also said that I don’t believe it would make that much difference but I’d like to be proved right/wrong.
Anyway, I don’t see why whatever players we have should struggle so much with 451. They are still being asked to pass, control and move around just as they would in 442. And you can’t say they aren’t used to it – they have had 63 x 90 minutes to practise it in the league alone since august 2009.
