29 May 2013 at 12:38 am #114847I’d go for Jewell simply because he can work with Whelan and he’d be very cheap and maybe has a point to prove after his recent disappointments.
He also working under the right conditions can produce winning teams and can anyone argue that the clubs most successful period (in terms of win percentages) came under him?
He will be in the frame that’s for sure.29 May 2013 at 12:47 am #114851I’d go for Jewell simply because he can work with Whelan and he’d be very cheap and maybe has a point to prove after his recent disappointments.

FA Cup Winners 2013 - Living the dream
29 May 2013 at 1:00 am #114863No one is considering that we are in Europe, we get £2.5 million being in the group stage and £9.5 million if we win the group, surely we need a coach that plays a similar type to Roberto, as we will need a fresh team and knows a bit about European Football.
I don’t expect us to win the group, but i don’t want to get slaughtered and made a luaghing stock,
And there’s the Charity Shield, another day out at Wembley.
29 May 2013 at 1:03 am #114865Still very much in the Rene Meulensteen camp. When Fergie retired it wouldn’t have been beyond the realms of possibility that he could have even taken over at Old Trafford. If this comes off we could end up with a mini Man Utd at the DW. No more Barrow or Lawrence but the best possible. Even the prospect of some loan signings next season is mouth watering with his experience and success with the youth teams over the past few years.
I think we should all jump on this and make sure Dave Whelan knows that Rene Meulensteen could be the right man. And he has a license to manage clubs in European competitions.
29 May 2013 at 1:08 am #114867Maybe Fergie has changed his mind and fancies a crack at something a little more low key
