It all started because I criticized the pitch, saying it was bumpy and bobbly after the rugby game the day before, which was fact.
Not fact at all. Just your opinion.
Someone at the match mentioned some stipulation regarding us playing Premier League games after rugby games. They implied that we aren’t supposed to play AFTER the rugby have played. Is that right?No.[/quote]
So it wasn’t a fact that the rugby played the day before then, was it not?
Unbelievable. Awkwardness for awkwards sake, or what?
And it WAS bumpy as anything. Why deny it? I could see it was clearly from East stand row T. It was shocking. Ask Shaun or Callum.

WTF is going on with this site?
We are now being threatened with banning orders from our own site from an egg chaser that has spat his dummy out and locked topics because he doesn’t like a bit of chubby baiting.
I thought this was a WAFC website site.
If we want to criticise the state they leave our pitch in, the fact our seats get buckled by their fans weight or just plain and simply take the piss out of them , we should be able to.
The Egg may also watch the Latics, but the vast majority have always, and will always detest them.
If he doesn’t like the fact that the peanut clodders will never be liked by most of us, then he should butt out of the threads himself and let everyone else just get on with it.
This is a Latics website for Latics fans and should not be moderated by someone who bats for the other side.
Ban the Egg, or at least take his Big Brother powers off him. What’s with the rugby love in?
Supposed to be a Latics site.
Some folk have short memories..
Or none at all, as they’ve only recently jumped in our bandwagon.
Shame on you rugby ‘love ins’.

1 April 2013 at 5:06 pm #107109This is why the thread was locked btw.Not quite sure what you’re getting at here Egg. He’s made a statement that he says is fact and I’m responding by saying it isn’t. Other people have also disagreed with him in this respect. He’s then tried to validate his stance by suggesting that two Wigan players have intimated that the pitch was bobbly. If they have then I’ll hold up my hands up. He’s also accused me of being awkward for no reason other than I’ve dared to disagreed with him.
There’s a commom denominator here and it isn’t the pitch.
1 April 2013 at 5:35 pm #107111If folk want to call each other up on their comments then let them waste their time doing it – why lock the thread just cos you find it tedious? There’s been other threads that have gone on for 3-4 pages with similar drivel, much worse insults and even multis just talking to themselves…yet they’ve not been locked.
And as for the pitch – the last time I watched a football match it was a pretty integral part of the game so any opinion on it ought to be on the football forum. What if I’d said I thought the extreme weather was to blame? Would that have to be posted on the non football forum?
It’s moderation gone mad.
1 April 2013 at 5:56 pm #107112From reading the comments it would appear to be a matter of opinion ! Both me and the guy who sits next to me agreed that the pitch did appear to be of a bobbly condition on Saturday for whatever reason !
1 April 2013 at 6:12 pm #107113Im just glad we play our semi first :cheer:
1 April 2013 at 7:07 pm #107117As long as that rent cheque is paid on time every month I am happy.
Ground staff have done a wonderful job all season.
I think they are allowed an off day , everyone else at the club seems to get one ;)

No, I stated that a rugby game had taken place the day before, and you said that wasn’t fact. It was.
As for Shaun and Callum, both miskicked horribly. So I know what they’d say. The other players found the pitch hard going too.
Sounds like there are plenty that would agree that the pitch was bumpy. I can’t understand folk denying it.

Come on ABL get your facts right.
The pitch was as flat as snooker table, Callum and Shaun miskicked because they are Sheite and The Chubbs didn’t play on there the day before, other than that everything you say is true.2 April 2013 at 1:46 am #107190Anonymous

The pitch has probably been in better condition than it was on Saturday but it was nowhere near as bad as you are making out.
I didn’t see it bobbling all that badly for Norwich when they were outplaying us for the majority of the first half.

It was my opinion that that thread was started in order to have a go at the rugby rather than discuss the pitch. It has since been re-opened on this board as it probably shouldn’t have been locked but as I and several other posters have stated the constant ‘chubby baiting’ is getting silly and so it was locked to try to divert attention towards WAFC based threads. That appears to have worked given the traffic today.

So what if it had been started just to have a go at the fat lardy arsed egg chucking squatters.
There are a lot of us that still dislike them with a passion, and we should be allowed to voice those feelings on here.
If we can’t have a go on our own site where can we, Chubby.net seems to encourage Latics baiting from what I am told.
Fortunately the threads were reopened as I believe the powers that be realised many of our own fans were being alienated by a peanunt clodder.
Its a good job you were not around here in the early days when people really had a go at them.
Even though everything now appears to have calmed down a bit, I am still of the opinion a Worriers fan should have no moderating powers on a Latics board. -
