Even though everything now appears to have calmed down a bit,
Not at our workplace it hasn’t the fat barstewards where wobblying in delight a few week back at our potential demise again but since a trip to Wembley beckons and results have been improving the lard arses have calmed down a bit Just shouting come on Millwall now and QPR the fat gets :angry:
It was me who re-opened them.
If you want to have a go at them then feel free but do it on this board not the football board. Simple as that really.
EDIT – I have no problem with people who want to have a go at the rugby and vice versa. I far from spit my dummy as it’s something I’ve had all my life. The recent ‘chubby baiting’ seems to be at an all time high which considering where we are at the moment seems strange although understandable from some.
There have been several posters who have commented recently (including new ones) that this site seems to be all arguments and rugby threads. That isn’t how it should be and since weekend it hasn’t been.
If you want to post about rugby then post it on this board and leave the football board for football. We certainly have enough to be talking about.
I am still of the opinion a Worriers fan should have no moderating powers on a Latics board.

I agree! It seems all the mods are in agreement :cheer:
I think that the reason for the recent outpouring of bile towarsd the Rugby lot is due to the fact that for once we are in the ascendency &, some would say deserve to do some strutting around like a Peacock in Spring.
We as Latics fans have taken enough shite from the rugby lot to last a lifetime.
I do agree that some of the threads are on a repeat ad finium however I do also giggle at Mutty & his multiple personalities trying to defend the rugby to his last breath even though his beloved Sunderland are on a one way ticket to the Championship.
I also think part of the problem is boredom waiting for the Semi Final to arrive. It didnt help having the International break.
Finally, I for one think the mods have a thankless job & for some can never do right. Oh & a Warrior as a mod….. So what he is a Latics mon as well & that’ll do for me.
I agree! I get narked when I see egg chasers- local lads- who support football teams as well,but not the latics eg: man utd usually. I can’t understand that, so fair enough to Egg if he’s a latic. good luck to the mon.
As long as he moderates according to the rules and regs of the site, the fact the Egg is an Egg shouldn’t be held against him, after all we all have our crosses to bare, and he is a Latics fan at heart.
The problem I had was that he was locking threads and threatening to ban people just because we despise the scruffs.
If threads were moved onto the non football board without the threats there wouldn’t have been a problem.
I felt he was using his powers as a mod to stop free speech against our lodgers, and that was wrong.
Fortunately he saw the light, moved the threads to where they should be and backed down from all his threats.
In a bizarre twist though, he then tried to take the plaudits for reopening the threads and then openly invited us all to call them until are hearts are content. Very strange, but all sorted in the end.

It was me who re-opened them. I’m not trying to take the plaudits, it’s true. You can slag them off if you want my problem was why it was happening on the football board when we had plenty of other things to talk about. Yes the ban threat was OTT but I would never have actually banned anyone (although it could be classed as spamming the board) it was trying to deflect attention back to topics about Latics. Then two or three more threads were started including ones that should have been sent as a PM as opposed to posted on the board.
As plenty people have pointed out (yourself included) this is a Latics site and so my argument was please can we talk about Latics. We’ve done that this week and there are some cracking threads on the go at the moment.
Seriously this lot make SDW look positively intelligent in his anti R.L. rants. Sadly a lot of these are grown adults!
