8 April 2014 at 5:57 pm #129610Hopefully the time will be right for Maloney to get a run out tonight. He HAS to be on the bench on Saturday for me. Will add that spark in extra time if needed and is also a confident penalty taker.
Millwall 4 4 2
Al Habsi
Boyce Kiernan Rogne Crainey
Waghorn McEachran Collison McClean (bring Maloney on at HT)
Fortune MaynardSaturday 3 4 3
Al Habsi
Boyce Barnett Ramis
Perch McArthur Gomez Beausejour
McManaman Powell McCleanCarson is in goal tonight
8 April 2014 at 7:17 pm #129612Carson is in goal tonightI have no issue with that. I do think Ali will be in goal on Saturday though given his recent form.
8 April 2014 at 7:39 pm #129614A year ago, we were preparing to play Millwall in the semifinal at Wembley; the win at Wembley proved straightforward. Tonight we face them just before the semifinal.
Jackett, who preceded Martinez at Swansea, has moved to Wolves, where he has built a promotion-winning team, including Dicko.
Holloway, after taking Crystal Palace to promotion, is now at Millwall. Pulis has been able to put a new discipline into the Palace squad, but Holloway is in need of points to lift Millwall out of the bottom three. With a goal difference of -33, Millwall are struggling for their life in the Championship.
Millwall have had;
one win in January (home to Ipswich)
no wins in February
one win in March (away to Derby)
but started April with a win at Nottingham Forest.Millwall originated in the East End and seem to have a liking for East Anglian and East Midlands teams.

Fortune MaynardSaturday 3 4 3
Al Habsi
Boyce Barnett Ramis
Perch McArthur Gomez Beausejour
McManaman Powell McCleanDo you think he’ll only play 2 in the centre of midfield on Saturday?
I know they were awful on Sunday but we don’t want to get over run in the centre of midfield?
This was the side v City.
01 Carson
24 Perch
03 Crainey
07 McCann (Barnett – 45′ Booked )
21 Ramis
17 Boyce
15 McManaman (McClean – 58′ )
16 McArthur
32 Fortuné
04 McEachran (Espinoza – 66′ Booked )
14 Jordi GómezI’d expect something similar but with Ali in goal.
9 April 2014 at 2:25 am #129619What would I do???????????
Panic I think !! ;)
9 April 2014 at 2:59 am #129625Against Manchester City, Rosler picked a team for that specific occasion.
Manchester City played 4-4-2; Wigan lined up 3-5-2.
Carson
Boyce Ramis McCann
Perch McArthur McEachran Gómez Crainey
McManaman FortunéMcManaman and Fortuné pinned back the two full-backs.
Arsenal don’t have the same threat as Manchester City, but they may well play 4-4-2 with both Giroud and Podolski. After Arsenal’s defeat at Everton, I’m sure Uwe will have a plan. He could pick;
Al Habsi
Boyce Ramis Barnett
Perch McArthur Gómez Powell Beausejour
McManaman Fortuné9 April 2014 at 3:28 am #129631I’d play Maloney and Crainey instead of Powell and Beaujelais !!!!
9 April 2014 at 3:39 am #129635I would use you as a live bait instead of a dead spratt
Treble.
9 April 2014 at 12:24 pm #129650I would use you as a live bait instead of a dead sprattTreble.
Dead sprat as live bait how does that work then??
Anyway happy to help. When and where?
Hope you like Dogfish !! :P
10 April 2014 at 5:38 pm #129723Waghorn has already played for Leicester in the FA Cup. As he is cup-tied, I’ve included him in my team to play Millwall.Jimmyc, what do you think our strongest teams would be?
Arsenal are going through a bad patch just now;
Everton 3-0 Arsenal
Arsenal 1-1 Man City
Arsenal 2-2 Swansea
Chelsea 6-0 Arsenal
Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal
Bayern Munich 1-1 Arsenal Champions League
Arsenal 4-1 Everton FA Cup
Stoke 1-0 ArsenalAfter today’s performance at Everton, they are clearly beatable. They are short of confidence and short of players too.
But we will need to field a strong, fresh team that plays well to beat them. Wigan play on Tuesday night, and there could be extra time on Saturday.
Missed this one..
Millwall gone but i would go for this against Arsenal. Tough one but think i would go five across the middle to stifle the Arsenal play. Could look to bring Maloney on in secnd half and even Mclean?
Ali
Boyce, Kiernan, Ramis, Perch
McManaman, McArthur, Gomez, Collison, Waghorn
Powell10 April 2014 at 5:51 pm #129724Keirnan and Waghorn are both cup-tied.
10 April 2014 at 7:28 pm #129732Tunnicliffe is also cup-tied – and McClean is on crutches.
It’s a good job we’ve got a big squad.
10 April 2014 at 9:33 pm #129737Keirnan and Waghorn are both cup-tied.Bleedin ell, my line up needs a complete rethink then… Who has Kiernan played for?
What happened to Mclean for him to be on crutches?10 April 2014 at 11:28 pm #129743What happened to Mclean for him to be on crutches?Fell over an egg !!! ;)
11 April 2014 at 1:48 am #129758Kiernan played for Southend
